reasons:

1) i want to have win / lose stats with my funky friends
2) i want to be able to see who's online and when
3) but...i dont like pms from nobody, it just distracts me from work or game focus.

your friends can still pm you though grae. That only stops non friends

I just dont want pm's. They interfere with my work at the pc, plus the pop up that appears distracts me.

true, anyways it would be nice to have this option then if you would like some quiet time (like fuzzy here) then you can tick this option, this means friends list stays intact and you don't have to take them all off to add them back on (more friends you have more your bound to forget one).

not grasped what the need for pm is when you are here to play games first and foremost.

So you can talk to somone privately ?

you enter a game to play not chat surely?

if they are freinds then they should know not to pm you after reading this thread or they can be told

good idea but a waist of time implementing IMO

not everyone is a friend on 'friends' list... they are also clan members, future opponents, or ones you on a 'race' etc.

i can't explain my personal life & work routine to eveyone.
Plus, i might be on phone while playing too.

An "ignore all PMs" button would be what i personally want

So you want nick to implement something new for you because it may distract you from work, surly you playing this game ALL the time is more of a distraction then a little box come up for 2 seconds, and if your on the phone then that's a distraction to your "game focus"

its not a huge addition but it can be helpful to some people.

See when I am working on my PC I don't use Funkysnooker because I am to busy you must have a easy life when working

Totally want this to happen too be honest.

I'm in favor of this as well. Just an added option to those that exist already. No groundbreaking change but can be highly useful.
