To be fair how often is the miss rule called correctly by the ref?
They miss by millimetres and a miss gets called anyway.

thing i would advise to put on, is a re rack button, but i was wandering, would this affect the ammount of playing time you would have in tournament ?
i mean if you were given a alert saying 5 minutes remaining and you both agreed to a re rack, would that affect the way the tournament draw plans out

Very complicated judgement for both professional and amateur refs.
Lets say all 15 reds are on the table, 14 all together and one on it's own - if you try to hit the single red, when hitting the pack is much easier, you will always be called a miss, for attempting the more difficult escape no matter if you only miss it by a mil.
Same with with playing a two cushion escape when one is easier, again it'll be a miss every time.
The swerve will always be called a miss as well.
These professional players live the game and know full well which shot is the easiest escape and which shot, usually more difficult, is less likely to cost them the frame so the ref has to take all these factors into consideration and I think they get it right most or the time.
Having played league for over 40 years, yes I'm that old, I've watched the miss rule come into the amateur game with varied interpretations and on the whole consider it a good thing.
It's all down to ability.
The miss rule is only used in our first division.
Some players from much lower divisions could spend all night trying an escape as they just don't have the experience so it's not implemented in the lower divisions.

This thread seems to have strayed off topic into a discussion on the 'foul and a miss' rule which has been covered numerous times already.
Seeing as this has now gone on to a second page, the original suggestion was:

I don't know if this has been suggested before but i got an idea were you can have your own group to create your own tournaments and things like that instead of using to forum's group could be used in lots of ways like friendship groups as well.
