First Session
Frame 1 - virt_slayer (0) 10-113 (1) mooney
After a tentative opening with both players struggling to get in mooney eventually cleared with a 83.
Frame 2 - virt_slayer (1) 87-24 (1) mooney
After an early chance mooney sqaunders, the gent from Kent gets his first frame on the board with a break of 79.
Frame 3 - virt_slayer (2) 70-67 (1) mooney
Despite an early break of 56 from mooney, he fails to break open the last group of reds. In a fairly scrappy end to the frame Alex misses the yellow, leaving a tight cut down the cushion which mooney rattles! The gent from Kent clears the colours to win.
Frame 4 - virt_slayer (2) 37-66 (2) mooney
Almost as scrappy as the previous, mooney eventually wins, hitting another 56 on the way.
Frame 5 - virt_slayer (3) 108-9 (2) mooney
Another game where both players struggle at the start, unable to develop a chance until the gent from Kent pulls out a flashy 91 break.
Frame 6 - virt_slayer (3) 0-105 (3) mooney
After a hot and cold start to the match mooney manages to show some signs of the form he produced in the first round, hitting a break of 100, the first century of the match.
That was it folks, the players had to finish the session early because the lads ran out of 50 pence coins for the metre, leaving the room in total darkness! We also saw our first streaker of the championships, who was later identified as boyler_lfc. Both players said after the session they were a little unsettled.
