for some reason this ad causes me really bad lag, and the RAC ad, just wondered if its same for some other members?(before you post get premium i dont want it :p).

no lag for me but seen a lot of unsuitable ads some looks like viruses too.

never had lag b4 bue to an ad tho, and never seen so many different ones.

if been lagging badly as well since the iphones ad has been coming up and costs me games some times also

Has anyone else seen the ad with Santa Claus? That causes me a lot of lag and is really distracting as the Santa moves really fast from side to side.

I've had no problem with lagging ads.....

Ads are supplied by google, and not funky snooker directly. However if some are causing problems then we can look into it ... Myself i haven't experienced any problems

the one what irritates me is ones like where it says you have 30 seconds to claim your prize, click here to claim, i saw something like this but its obviously a virus and ones which involve dating but other than that i see no issue

it seems to be the fast moving ads like morphy says, i.e iphone one
didny know you could do anything about it, just wondered if it was maybe my computer (its crap at the best of times)

same with the lag i was beating a 907 in arcade tourney and was on colours with a score 44-14 and i lagged out

Never really suffered from lag much (even pre-premium before anybody thinks that is the reason). However, I only ever play on a 'museum piece' of a PC which may, non-intuitively, be why.

Even so on the rare occasions, where I've had lag (usually due to an AV scan or other scheduled maintenance activity kicking in at an inopportune moment, I just treat it as you would a 'kick' in real life.

Having played my son in the past on the same network and he (with a supposedly better PC) suffered lag whereas I didn't, I think that one can rule out connection quality to some extent and conclude that it is more down to system configuration than anything else (albeit triggered by some adverts more than others)

please please please get rid of these new annoying adverts! they are annyoying and even though i run a high spec pc its causing lag on all my games, making some of them pretty much unplayable.

wheres the quality control on this site? the ads are pointless!! i mean who cares what will and kates baby is going to look like? or how many santas you can hit with a snowball!? atleast make adverts relevant.

i'm seriously thinking about not comin back on this site until this is sorted. im fine with the other ads which used to be on here but these have taken the biscuit completely

Don't think it is a case of Quality Control to be honest, Dansta - these things can only be sorted if when Admin is made aware of there being a problem.

its a free service remember,upgrade for 3 pence a day to get rid of ads,problem solved if u enjoy site,

ps im not premium yet but will be soon

I would also like to point out, if we didn't have ads (we have the minimum we could if you look in comparism to other sites).. then the site would simply not be running...

A word of warning - I accidentally clicked on one of the iPhone or iPad adverts and when the webpage opened up it started to scan my computer for "security threats". Obviously this was very worrying as I don't want unknown websites to be scanning my computer. For all I know that could have been a virus it was installing.

No it's ok....

You open these websites and something appears 'Click now for such n such a program to scan your pc as you may be at risk'

All it is is a advert nuthing will be downloading it just wants you to click the advert so that then you can be re directed to their official webpage, also these adds will usually say '3 virus's found or somthing unknow etc' this is just so people think 'OMG' and end up paying for something that AVG does for free.

So they are harmless and aslong as your PC security is fully update you should not have to worry about these issues as AVG free will tell you if the website is unsafe etc as it opens.
