because some of the ads are still effecting people, im not arguing btw, they dont effect me now im just saying that not alots been done about it.

Yeah, and I'm not trying to be argumentative for the sake of it either, but this thread was only started 2 days ago and only 3 or 4 people have actually said that it is a problem (so far). The impression that comes across is that it is a conspiracy to get people to buy premium which is unlikely (like all conspiracy theories) seeing as the ads are not determined by Funky and can only be removed and after it has been investigated and found to outside the criteria laid down by Funky to Google (I believe I read somewhere but could be wrong). There is little doubt that this one is causing people problems and should be looked into but there is always the possibility that it does not affect all people and is more of a configuration clash.

I have a less than 1 year old laptop, custom built to a fairly high spec (but not massively so), and I notice an immediate problem with lag as soon as the War2glory advert comes on.

there was another thread what i started about a month ago aswell mate, like i said i have no problem with it now cause i have no ads, but for the ppl that are having the same problem as i and others did surely something can be done?otherwise change the statement on the help section cause atm its false IMO

yeah i posted the one about iphones4 ad, but after that alot more ads got put up causing the same problem, for me they were on a good 80-90% of the time.

The w2g one was on a ridiculous amount for me, at one point it was the only thing I had other than funky stats/premium ad. If they can't get rid of it then maybe they could balance it with other ones so the issue is reduced.

To get rid of that ad was the only reason I bought premium, and that shouldn't be the case in my opinion.

Do you play a lot tho? If so then i can't see what ur so annoyed about. It's only like paying for xbox live or summit like that, only premium is 4 times cheaper.

This ad comes up a lot on me but i don't play that many games, so it's not a problem.

Yes I do play a lot but that isn't the point, what I'm saying is that premium should be for making a good game that bit better, not making the game actually playable.

I'm annoyed because I felt I had no choice but to get premium in order to be able to play properly. Lag from that ad had cost me 4 potential max chances that were easily makeable as well as many cents.

The thing is tho at least you won't have that problem again now for at least another year. I don't mind paying out for things as long as i know I'm going get my moneys worth.

I'm not very good and still managing to hit cents with lag, although it is extremely hard to control the white at times! lol!

That's what he's saying man, it's a free site...why should he have to pay to play a free game...when the adverts are causing him to lag real bad...so he had to buy premium..to enjoy playing properly again...

It still is free, its optional to upgrade to premium, no one is forced to pay it.

Could you find a better site where theres no ad's and no cost at all, i doubt it very much..

That's not the point...the advert is causing too much lag... so much so that he cannot play the game...So he has to make the decision to pay for it and then play for a game he enjoys or stop playing the game all together...

I've seen a few people who have upgraded to premium and they say it's well worth it, theres so many people in the world that won't pay out for anything unless they really have to. If it annoys people that much then surely it would be better leaving?

You say pushed, i am getting lag as well yet no one has pushed me into buying it.

Just don't play as many games and then it won't bother you no where near as much, for people who don't want to upgrade that is!

I'm not saying that there isn't a problem or that it shouldn't be highlighted, but I do disagree with the inference that a) it is a conspiracy to push people into buying premium and b) the admins aren't doing their job.

I'm not inferring anything buddy, my reference to it earlier was purely light-hearted. There has never been anything to force people to get premium and I don't believe Nick and co would ever do that.

You have to consider that, without me raising this, the mods and admin wouldn't know about it as, as far as I know, they play ad free.

And fuunky, a tenner might not be much to you but I'm currently £14k in debt, I would rather keep my tenner and enjoy the game. However given the choice of either pay or not enjoy the game, I would rather pay.
