Wasn't specifically directed at you Adam, it was just a general comment on the tone of the thread and, as I said, these things do indeed need to be highlighted in order for the problems to be resolved (which I'm sure they will be),

i think it was directed at me mainly, all im trying to say is why cant admin let us know if anything can or will or will not be done.like adam said they prob dont play with the ads and even if they did they might not have the problem like we did.

I know mods get ad free as i was playing mattywellie when the problem started . Would assume admin do too as a thanks for all the work they do.

I upgraded to premium earlier, massive difference wiithout the ad's how smooth the game runs! I seem to be hitting more high breaks now anyway!

The lag is frankly ridiculous and now is a CONTRIBUTING Factor in the outcome of some games, casing point my Regular Semi Final when that advert is on and goin for a simple SIMPLE black and the lag makes the ball move 1 inch. REMOVE IT!!!! Please!!!
As for some people sayin ah but if you play it every day then a tenners nothing well. I, for one, like my money whether its 10 pounds or ten pence. And secondly, what about the casual player, why should they spend the money? It will end up alienating people and make people turn off.
It is ruining the game for the rest of us

It's a bad egg, i think alot of people are going to buy premium just because of this add, it's by far the worst ad and it might just be me but i dont get any other ads i just get this add constantly, considering premium if the add stays..

h8 that war 2 glory add. It's on all the time and whenever i've moaned about it causing lag in my game, most of the time my opponent has agreed with me. I suspect many who have problems with it don't use the forum so you don't see their frustration.

There is enough people here saying that the War2Glory advert is a problem
Admin, DO somethin! Remove that advert! It ruins the game

Some of the posts in here gave me a good laugh. The previous post is a prime example. Man up!
These ads always go after about a month or so anyway.
It is not really the admins job either (as far as I know) to go and look into and then 'remove' adverts at the beck and call of a select few.
Admins (and moderators) have lives, and no doubt looking into suspect adverts on funkysnooker will be way down on their list of priorities, let alone them then doing something about removing them.
So if they do look into adverts it is more of a favour to us members rather than their duty.
The whinging in here is going to solve nothing, there are ways and means to get your point across. Stamping your feet and demanding answers and solutions is not really the way to go.

Most of the posts on this thread are not moaning but just bringing a problem to attention. Don't see the point of your mindless critique to be honest. Probably best you keep your long drawn out opinions to the football threads.

^ Think you could be on to something there mate.
It is a well known fact that the Moderators and Admins put the adverts on to the game themselves.
I could quite easily envisage them then tampering with the adverts to make the game 'unplayable' in order to help raise funds, not only for the site, but also for a wage bonus paid on top of what they are already earning.
I for one will not be part of it. I just don't know how they can sleep at night. Bloody Del Boys!!

That takes care of your ridiculous claim that the mods and admins put them on themselves. And this is their business to solve as Spinner himself says here:
So if he reads this thread he will hopefully see this one is badly designed .
Also be careful throwing around wild accusations about trying to defraud people out of money as that could easily land you in trouble for libel.

Ads are supplied by google, and not funky snooker directly. However if some are causing problems then we can look into it ... Myself i haven't experienced any problems

Well Funkysnooker cannot really do anything about the ads being shown, as it is Google AdSense who places the ads up..

The decision not to allow animated avatars was because some found them distracting, nothing at all to do with lag.
If there is a particular advert causing problems, yes, it is easily removed as usually they have been badly designed.
I will keep an eye out for the iPhone4 one, it sounds like one of those..

Spot on in both cases.
I've looked for this ad for a while now and simply haven't seen it.
It's worth noting that google is using a lot more targeted advertising now, so that may be why, (I haven't visited the necessary site to get that one thrown at me).
It could be that clearing out your cookies is enough to replace the ad with another.
