Just a quick question, why go to the bother of seeding when a) seeding is used for single elimination tournaments and b) you haven't used them to determine match arrangements anyway?

The reasoning behind it is, so that individual players can attempt to push themsleves up the rankings and play harder for the win

Yeah but isn't that achieved simply by the league position?

Edit: just read the 1st page and so a) doesn't apply because each stage is a single elimination tournament (I only read the above post which looked like just a single frame event) but b) still applies
