But if one player had a bad game and the other had a gr8 game...the one that plays gr8 would say, gg wp, surely that would be sarcasm? And so not very nice to the player that played bad...

gg is fine. But if someone played crap, they definitely don't want to hear a wp...

I always say gg but i only say wp if the player played well. If i played awful and my opponent said wp it is a bit annoying but nothing i would lose sleep over, i know some people would probably get really upset over it tho and spit there dummy out lol.

GG after a game if i know i am going to be playing a few frames v the same guy,
At the end of 5-6 frames just a simple gg's ty
If i lose in a tournament gg gl in the rest

The way I see it, it is the online equivalent of shaking hands at the end of the game. It's just a gesture, you don't really mean it.

^Yeah i agree, if you played a game of pool in real life would you just walk off and not say a word if it was a poor game.
