Its not a huge difference, But it just looks a bit more modern and proffesional.
Just wondering why people want a notepad when we already have a about me.

Here's a scrappy example of what I mean for the header:
And I'll post an example of the tournapoints trophies soon.

notepad would be to make notes of games we need to play in events, clans etc. About me is for things you want people to know .

So what would your ideal way of having that be? In the edit option another box? along the top were the forum, help, rankings are?

Again, it wouldn't be removed, it would simply be placed in a more appropriate place.
When I'm on twitter, I, and a lot of others, often like to check out their official blog, however it is part of the site which drifts away from the main focal point, in this case, that being networking with people. This is the reason that they have placed a link to their blog in the footer, rather than having a big ugly link in the header. People like to visit it, however it's an addition to the site, rather than being apart of it.
Moving links such as the Pool Games link into the footer, where they are still accessible, but not in your face & cluttering the navigation, is standard web design knowledge. (Not having a go at Nick there lol).
Take a look at Google, where they automatically detect which country you're from through your IP, and from that they create a link in the footer directing your to your own countries Google site, (if you're not already on it).
Facebook have all of their "outside" links in the footer, linking to pages such as "Advertising", "Careers", etc...
Same goes for Youtube, Myspace, Bebo, Yahoo, Bing, Wikipedia, Blogger.... Basically every single one of the major sites around the world.

Here's what I mean for the tournapoint awards:
19:23 Tue 13 Sep 11 (BST) [Link]
its a good edit, also i don't like to see the tournapoints on my "personal home page" could put the http forum part but prefer to press link from the homepage.
i like the trophys on the profile page makes more room as less clutter
this is for nick...
also how about colour picker option for the background or able to browse for a pattern etc as its personal to you no one else needs to see it.

Looks good Jack, wouldn't it be best seeing if Nick is intrested first tho? cause if he isn't then you are wasting your time for nothing.

What do you mean? It didn't take long to make those edits on Photoshop so I don't really mind.

Ah okay. It just seemed like you were putting a lot of effort and thought into it, looks much better anyway imo but it will probs take a while to get an answer from Nick due to him always been busy.

I think having images helps explain the idea a little better. It also allows people to see what it would actually look like.

The trophie layout would be so much better, I don't know why they have to be so huge i'm guessing the reason he did it that big was the fact it's a big thing to get and want people notice it.
But definatly prefer the place pictured on your image.

Totally agree with the trophies. And speaking of them, don't you think the colours of them suggest 1st, 2nd and 3rd instead of daily, weekly and monthly? Would be nice to have that a bit clearer though if you have any ideas for that!

I agree to some extent with what you're saying damee, however, I think the 1st, 2nd & 3rd idea falls nicely with how these awards are given out.
Gold awards are generally seen as the best. In this case, the hardest to achieve.
Silver are seen as 2nd best, or the 2nd hardest to achieve, and Bronze the 3rd best, or the 3rd hardest to achieve.
I think getting to clever about how the awards are displayed, can have a negative impact on how they are perceived.
