by looks of it the server was down for couple hours last night so that may have been affecting things.

random i agree with you but carom needs to stay and so does orig, if any tournaments need lowering its "arcade".

and replace them with what, yet more arcade tournys. BORING!!!!!!...................the 9pm carom tourny gets just as many players as orig tournys do normally (apart from last night offcoarse)

Do think default tournaments shouldn't be given though...

what i think should happen is if you get any less than 4 entries in random/carom 8 in reg/orig/arc it should count as a friendly win meaning uncredited but you would still get the rank like a normal tournament.

and if you get enough entries in friendly it should be credited (but still no rank or tournapoints available).

I've seen people win random tournaments because noone else bothered to enter, if such winners went into a "champions of champions" tournaments it would be unfair to have those winners enter as they really haven't earnt the right to play in it.

Also, say a newbie, and i mean a proper newbie whos never played before, enters and wins then plays the "champions of champions" tourny, draws a pro / virt or even most adepts, they won't stand a chance and it would be easy for those better players to progress in the tournament.

Decent idea but too many bad points imo for it to go ahead.

Say Budweiser adam fuzzy and someone not as good enters and wins you saying they shouldn't have it still even though they are beating the best players?

you got to be in it to win it ,its not the sole entrants fault if no one else joins a tourney...so a default win is fair.

i think the 9pm peak time carom tourney is a bad time to have it..can yous not swap it with the 6-30 original ,as original is the more popular while carom is not a favourite of a lot of people,"i hate it" total waste of time

no because you would have 2 carom back to back.

what i would do is put carom earlier around 8, the 6 pm carom to 5, and put orig marathon at 9 pm when it finishes it should be time for the next one (possibly put 10:30 pm orig to 11 pm).

or do as damien said and keep to 1 carom a day.

So you want a carom tourny at 6 and 1 at 6:30?

I understand that if you enter a tourny and noone else enters it a default win is given, and i agree that its fair he or she gets the tourny win, but for a champions of champions tourny, i would just do winners of tournaments that have had a decent amount of players in it.

Orig marathon to stay where it is (possibly a bit later, but no later than 8) and have just one carom a day in my opinion.

id say i have been reading for the best part of two years the plea for more than one carom tournament from yourself and many others (mainly you) and now you want to get rid of it again...

2 carom was always one too many. It just needs to be set at a time where it will attract the most users.
