friendly tournaments each hour was better imo, you would gain a tournament win if you won and nothing lost (except 1 loss on profile) when you lose.

nowadays its all about arcade, i know im biast since im an original and carom fan but maybe go back to hourly tournaments (eliminating tournapoints altogether) or even cut arcade down a bit (make most important types more tournapoints to balance the 2 types).

Hmm i actually like all the tournys. and tourny points if it wasnt for them then i wouldnt join tournys cos there would be no point. it makes people compete for day,week,month event and think it should stay like that.
could maybe cut the micros down to every 2hrs. or even have every 1 hr but like this

Well another thing that should be added is that if a tournament (not micros) attracts 8 players or less, then the tournament should not go ahead, or change it to a micro.

Just don't get why you can enter a tourny with 3 people and get the credit for a tournament win, when a micro with 8 players doesn't get credit for a tournament. It just seems daft.

Take carom though, you can enter that and there are like 8 people in it who are:

That is a decent standard tournament and you have to beat 3 decent players to win it, so it should be credited...

Other than the random and carom tournaments that sometimes only have a single entry, I think you can justify all the other tournaments. They seem pretty successful to me.

As i've said a few times accross the forum. My only real critism is that the arcade tournaments get way more points than for instance an original tournament. I understand this is because of the number of entries but... An original frame takes more skill to win and much longer to play surely it should get more points per entry?

Suggestion....
The last week M_Wood won the Tourna Points Week event ahead of Storm_Force by only 40 points.

During that week. M_Wood won a total of 15 Tournaments. Storm Force won 7. So he won 7 and was only 40 points behind why? Micro Tournaments

Micro Tournaments are all well and good BUT. On the grand scheme of things, they are making an actual Tournament Victory in Tourna Points less worthwhile. I won 8 more tournaments and yet only ahead by 40 points due to the Bulk of Storm Forces points being Micros....

So what I propose is yes keep Micros BUT.. Make them FRIENDLY. So NO Tourna Points are awarded for them.

Because in theory, I could win Regular Tournament, win Original Tournament.. consisting of 3 frames in the semis, 3 frames in the final... and win 2 acredited tournaments. Yet someone can win 3 Micros and overtake them in the Tournapoints thus cheapening an actual Tournament Victory

I vote for Micros to be Friendly Micros. What say you.

i would join for fun, i actually preferred the friendly version as you dont gain or lose anything where as rank its both.

You are not credited with a Tournament Win in Friendly Tournmanets..You are not credited with Tournapoints in Friendly Tournaments

So why have Micro Tournaments where you are credited TournaPoints but not a Tournament victory. Doesnt make sense

Make the Micros Friendly

For people who like Tourna Points, think about it. You log on, see someone with 1 thousand Tourna Points, and you think wow they musta won 5 tournys.. you go to their event history, they have won Micros only. 3 games, boom, 112 points.

3 games.

You can enter a tournament with 27 people in it, win Round 1, Round 2, Quarter final, Semi final 2-1, but lose the final 2-1... you will have achieved less tounapoints than someone who wins 3 Games in a Micro and one of which was a Bye.

Vote for change. Vote for Friendly Micros

Afterall, the clue is in the title, TOURNA points.. Micros are not Tournaments. Thank you for your time.

The clue is in the title Wood, "Micro tournament", these are in fact tournaments.

There is nothing stopping you do the same as these players do with the tournapoints, you can't have tournapoints for one type of ranked tournament and not another, in my opinion.

If you are gonna scrap tournapoints in one you should scrap them all together, after all they are just boring now, and make tournaments less enjoyable than when they were all friendly.

Tourna points should be awarded for Tournaments. Micro Tournament sure is a tournament, but you are not credited for it, hence it not counting. So IMO Tourna Points should be issued to tournaments that are credited as that is kind of the point.

As for Nut Case's comment about tourny freaks evering every tournament, makes the tournament bigger and more competitive and that can only be a positive as there is more satisfaction winning a 50 man tournay than a 5 man tourny.

People enjoy different aspects, from Tourna Points, to Tournaments, to exhibitions, to going for high breaks.. I could argue on what the point of Clan Leagues are couldnt I when you dont get anything in them or for them. Each to their own.

clan leagues just for fun.like tournys use to be.

i dont give a monkeys about tournapoints, its the rank system thats gone to crap.....(it was fare b4 it was changed)
