Just won the Original Friendly tournament, does this not get added to your profile like Micro tournies? If not i think its a bit crap to even run a tournament without anything to show for it, apart from the crap mention on the "events" tab on my profile.

I was a bit peeved off when i won a Micro a couple of months ago, but if this doesn't go on my profile that would be 3 tournament wins with 2 not showing on my profile.

I understand that there's no points for grabs, but this is becoming a bit of a joke that some tournament wins don't show on profiles.
I keep a record of any tournament wins, but it would be nice to them on my profile as classified tournament wins.

Why don't they make a bit on our profiles just for micro and friendly tournament wins so atleast their shown? Just doesn't make sense in my eyes to hold a torunament, then when its been won the winner has nothing to show for it.
What peeves me off more is that random tournament wins count and hardly anyone enters the stupid thing!

Just don't play friendly tournaments there are plenty of other ones you can enter. I think most people already know before they enter that they don't go on your profile and you don't get anything for winning it, and the tournament you are complaining about doesn't deserve to go on your profile anyway, you only played one round.

Friendlies don't appear on your profile, because then there's something to play for, meaning it would go against the principle of a true friendly.
They're designed so that there's absolutely nothing to play for.

Micro tournaments don't go on your profile, because they're not open to everyone.

Only the open tournaments count for tournament wins. Although I agree, the random must go (even though it used to be my favourite tourney).

Fuunky, i might have played one round, but if someone enters a tournament like the random tournament, is one of 2 players in it, and wins the tournament its the same thing.
Whocares8x8 won the Random tournament and only played 1 round and won that, i played 1 round and my final opponent had already logged out handing me the win, otherwise it would have been 2 round.

I think a tournament win, no matter how big or small, should go on our profiles. If a random tournament counts then the others should, as i said, they could introduce parts to add in tournament wins for friendlies and micro tournaments.

i agree with ecwwwe,no tournapoints awarded, but a recognition that u won a competitive event should be shown in profile,friendly or not,just my opinion

Yeah just makes sense to me you win something = you get something to show you won it.

Imagine Barca winning the CL this season and not getting a trophy after it, it wouldn't make any sense and be pointless.

Think of it this way...

Arcade Tournament - Champions League
Regular Tournament - FA Cup
Original Tournament - League Cup
Power Snooker Tournament - Europa League Cup
Friendly Tournament/Micros- Pre Season Emirrattes Cup

Being as Friendlys/Micros are not PROPER Tournaments, neither should be awarded Tourna Points either

Somebody wins 10 Champions Leagues, 5 Fa Cups, 5 League Cups, 5 Europa Leagues... Doesnt win Tourna Points Month Event...

Somebody wins 50 Emirrattes Cups wins the Tourna Points Month Event. So they didnt win an actual Tournament but win Month Event, now that is ridiculous and unfair on the proper winners

I remember a while back people wanted tournaments that were just friendlies, so people wouldn't mind if they lost. If you add an incentive, then this is gone. That's why they're not recognized as tournament wins.
The win doesn't depend on the number of people who play in a tourney, but the format. In micros, there is a limit on players, meaning not everyone can play in it.
In other tourneys, anyone can play (even if they choose not to), so it is credited as a tourney win. But I agree that the random should be taken out of the schedule.

You forgot the Random tournament.

The Random tournament is on par with friendly/micro tournaments imo as their pointless and its never got a lot of competitors in it.

Also your going on about a Tourna Points Month Event, nobody has said about that event at all, so thats irrelevant. Am not saying friendlies/micros should be for points, it wouldn't be a friendly league if it was for points.

So you've spoke about something thats not relevant to the topic.
I also recall that my Arcade tourny win was before Tourna Points came into the game, so there's no difference from that tournament and the Friendly one i won today if you use that example.

I was just replying to Fuunky as his post seemed like a stab at me for only playing the 1 round, i just pointed out that you done the same and won, the only difference being your is credited as a tourny win.

It'll never make sense to me, and i'll always disagree that micro/friendlies are rewardless tournaments whilst winning a Random tournament counts on your profile.

The difference is that there is a potential that lots of people could join, whereas in micros, it is limited. The tourneys are restricted to small numbers of people.
It is compensated by tournapoints- micros have more tournapoints than open tourneys if fewer players join (like in the random).
You only get credit for winning unrestricted tourneys that are open to anyone.

I understand the capacity of the tournaments, just wish they would all be credited if you win them, just seems a bit odd imo that you get sweet f.a for winning a micro/friendly when counting 1 of them to someones profile would be enough.

It's quite interesting really that everyone seems to have forgotten all tournys were friendly up until very recently and appeared on your profile. Then it was decided that tournys were to be the focal point of the site rather than rank. After a little while a couple of friendly tournys were added back into the schedule.

I don't really understand why the can't be noted you could just have a section that says "Friendly tournaments won" simples.

whocares8x8 is absolutely right. Friendly tournaments were intended to be just for fun. Nothing lost, nothing gained (except for a win/loss on your profile)

But do u honestly think somebody enters a tournament just to play around a lil without trying to win it? If my opponent would do so...yeah....that would be really fun!!!

In my opinion tournaments are always competitions. If friendly or not. And i also would like to see them counted on the profile!

some are right but before ranked tournaments came it was the same as what people are saying, so why cant wins be added?? if ranked tournaments was taken away only friendly would remain, would people then say same? why isnt it been added?? works both ways!

I totally agree it can't be hard to implement it, they've done it for randoms.
