Carroll never really wanted to play for Liverpool so it's understandable that he's feeling like he can't be bothered. It's a shame because he's a fantastic player with so much potential, but he just doesn't fit into the Liverpool team at all.. The reason he was so good at Newcastle was because we had the whole team working to get the ball into the box for him to score, whereas at Liverpool it's less of a team display.. You have more players that can score, so each of those players are probably thinking, not about getting the ball to Carroll, but about getting a goal for themselves. At Newcastle, Carroll was our only real goal scorer.. So everything that went forward was directed at him.

Look at how you played against us when you won 3-1... As soon as Gerrard came on he knew that he had to put crosses in for Carroll, and look how close he came to scoring... If you did that all the time, he would be scoring tons of goals for you.

Stoke Vs West Brom the saying 'We always beat west Brom' is irrelivant in the last 29 meetings they have won 2 but it's never a given!

First of all the team set up -

Woodgate is rightback and we play the rightback on the right wing WHY WHY WHY!!!

The first goal:

Tommy just pulled of a world class save it was great tipping it onto the bar! Then shortly after he does a howler and let's in through a really bad bit of goalkeeping!

West Brom hammerd up we pull 1 back they do what they deserved and got 3 points! That's about it really.

On the bright Side got my ticket for FA Cup 4th Round vs Derby ohhhh yeah

Fair to say that the better team lost the city - spurs game. Spurs outplayed city all the 2nd half. gutted for them, they deserved to win it, not lose it.

What nobody knows is that the announcer at Arsenal died at the end of last season, they just have a pre-recorded message saying "And the goalscorer for Arsenal... Robin van Persie" that gets played whenever Arsenal score.

As Kenny said, players who give less than 100% are disrespectful to our football club and will not be here long.

He can't be bothered? Then he is not just poor, he is a disgrace.

2 very good games of football today, I thought that City were the better team to be honest, though I can understand why people think differently, but for me City were the aggressors and Spurs broke with pace on the counter through Bale and Lennon. The quality came through City.

I also thought that United were the better team in the first half of their game, but it wasn't flash. Arsenal were just poor.

Second half, thought Arsenal were the aggressors, had most of the posession, most of the chances and played the better stuff. Once they finally got the equaliser, I thought they would go on to win. That was until Wenger took off their best player, Oxlade-Chamberlain and brought on Arshavin who I've never rated in his peak (even when he banged in 4 in one game against us) and his game has dropped drastically the past 24 months. United, unlike Spuds broke and scored their chance. I think that is the difference between Title challengers and 3rd and 4th place teams.

Agree! In the last five minutes at 2-2, Spurs seemed happy to settle for a draw, which was surprising for me. But after that chance in the 92nd, it was harsh for them to go on to lose. Draw would've been ok I think.

Not really.. If you were forced to play for a club that you didn't want to play for, you wouldn't put in the effort.. It's just human nature.

What a stupid thing to say. Of course I would put in the effort. If I was a Liverpool player who was told he had to go and play for Newcastle I wouldn't give any less for them.

What is the point doing anything in life if you're not going to try your best?

Carroll is a full grown man. He has to start acting like one. Life is tough!

If he goes out and puts in less than 100% then he is letting down the club, and he, along with many others will be in the scrapheap playing for bottom half sides.

If you lack talent then that is a shame, but if you lack desire to play football (of all things - Christ, he could always try real work!) as a footballer, then you are beyond help.

Anyway, as I said it will be him in the long run who suffers, he will be the one on loan in the championship when he could be banging them in for Liverpool and England. Then he'll have something to sulk about, though nobody to blame but himself.

Put Adam into that category as well. The horrible, selfish, lazy donkey.

You're forgetting that he's a Geordie and his passion lies with Newcastle United. If he had it his way, he'd still be playing for us. How can he enjoy playing football for a team that he clearly doesn't care for?

Because he is a professional footballer mate! His job is to play football.

Newcastle shipped him off to us, and he is playing for us. So grow up and stop sulking, and don't offend us by a) being crap, and b) not caring about it. Most players (far better ones than Carroll) would jump at the chance to play for Liverpool. Moussa Sow called it his dream the other day, and he is 10 times the striker of Carroll.

John Oshea was a mad Liverpool fan and Jamie Carragher was a hardcore Everton fan. Yet they grew up and realised they had jobs to do, and did them.

Look at this from Lucas on twitter. This is a player from the other side of the globe commenting on returning back to Liverpool after having surgery on his broken leg:

@LucasLeiva87
Lucas Leiva After 6 weeks here in Sao Paulo it is time to come back home and start the next stage of the rehab.

That is a model professional and a true scouser. Andy would do well to mix with some of these lads.

Lol, you're missing the point. If you're not enjoying your job, then you're not going to be as motivated as you would be if you did enjoy your job. That's the same where ever you work, whether you're a footballer or a cleaner.. I can understand why you're annoyed that he's not playing great, but it's obvious to see why he isn't playing as good as he can.. He's not enjoying himself, and he clearly misses playing for Newcastle.

No, you are missing the point. I understand what you are saying. It isn't difficult to grasp, though it is difficult to comprehend that sort of mentality you talk about.

It is quite simply tough. Though it is hardly tough having to play premier league footie for millions a year.

If you play for Liverpool you give 100%. If you do not, then you are disrespecting the club.

I don't give a toss why, but he is not trying to the best of his ability, and that is not good enough for a Liverpool player. He needs to grow up, knuckle down and earn some of that ridiculous 80K a week wage he is on.

I'm asking him to try his best, not to enjoy it. I don't care if he isn't enjoying it, he still has to try his best. Maybe he needs to put some work into it, and he'll soon realise he's at the best club he'll ever play for.

As I've said, many want to take his place, and in the long run, it will be him who suffers.

I don't give a toss if it is because he misses home, because he isn't starting as much as he'd like, because he had one eye on the Cup Semi-Final or because he doesn't like Liverpool.

As with a lot of English players, he seems to be more about what he wants than what the club wants. Quite simply, he needs to stop visiting Newcastle every other day, stop being in the papers for being drunk, and concentrate on being a better footballer for Liverpool.

If and when we cut our (huge) losses, he can do what he wants, just don't do it here.

No one forced Carroll to sign an agreement with Liverpool. No one forced Carroll to take a massive pay rise, probably double what he was on. He chose to say yes of his own accord, could have always said no I don't see my future away from Newcastle. But the big oaf got greedy and saw the money and went yes that will do me, more money than I can spend.

If he had turned round showed his commitment to Newcastle rather than just talking about it respect from every fan in the country would be high he would be netting goals and wouldn't be a failure to himself. Only got himself to blame, don't care how you bang on about Ashley forcing him out or whatever, if you receive a 35m bid for Carroll it's either a hoax or the best thing that can happen to you so you would accept it obviously.

Lmao the amazing thing is we offered £30m first and they turned that down! The cheeky gits!

You are right though, Newcastle apparently forced him to leave. They never however forced him to sign for Liverpool and sulk for the rest of his playing career. Thats been his choice.

Good pic, Si
