Didn't we discuss goal-line technology here a short while back?
I'm ok with it, if it's something instant. For example, if the ball crosses the line, the stadium screen instantly turns green or there's a beep in the referee's ear.
It can't be anything like tennis, where you actually have to stop play and review it, even if just for a couple of seconds.
On the other hand, the 5th referee works too- he would've seen this. I'm just disappointed that they're not getting involved in more penalty/diving decisions.

Jesus, I feel like gouging my eyes out with a rusty fork watching Sunderland and Liverpool try to play football.
The pitch isn't helping either. Sunderland need to invest in some Evergreen.

Can't blame the pitch, blame the players, complete disgrace.

Don't think you can really blame the pitch, Liverpool were poor today. I'm not complaining though, great win for Sunderland
If I'm honest none of the Liverpool players looked up for it today and Sunderland did (in the second half, first half was poor from both sides), that was the difference.

Why Kenny keeps playing Adam and Henderson when neither of them have put a performance in in months is beyond me. I would seriously have preferred Carragher in the holding mid role and Spearing in front of him. Gerrard and Carroll should have been brought on earlier but they did nothing anyway, possibly due to the limited playing time they had.
Complete shambles of a team we are now it is actually embarrassing to watch that knowing what we are capable of.
Would pay someone a tenner to assist Adam to an "unfortunate accident" involving a brick and his knee cap, so he can't play again for us.
FA cup next we need to turn this around, if we carry on playing like this with no hope and desire drop the players put the youth players in who actually care, who actually wanna play, who will actually give 100% I wouldn't care as much if we lost then I would know they tried their hardest.
The fans knew 4th was out of our reach since last month if not before, now the players need to get into their heads they are playing for pride and not to keep their heads down.
Abysmal performance.
Rant over!

The pitch, the wind, the rubbish that was on the pitch throughout the game. Quite a bit of litter too. (boom boom)
Disgusting, that. Only Suarez with any ability on either side!
They were without Sessegnon and Cattermole, they were there for the taking.
Felt like I was watching the 6 nations more than a premier league football game.
I need a lie down to cure the mind-numbing tedium and frustration inflicted upon me today.

What you have to remember as well tho, is the other team had to play in the exact same conditions, so I think that is a very poor excuse...
Kenny out?

Smash Everton, smash Stoke.
Sadly Stoke is the bigger game :\. The Derby other than local pride is a dead rubber for both teams, as both of us have big FA Cup games coming up.
I hope I never have to see us play like that again.

Nothing can really be done about the pitch until the end of the season. The Stadium of Light is like Wembley when it opened, loads of events take place there and it takes its toll on the pitch, but the club are aware of it and less events will take place next season.
The part where you say we were there for the taking, same could have been said about Liverpool to be fair. 2 losses on the bounce in the premier league, gerrard, carroll and downing on the bench, hendo playing (as much as I hate to say it as I like the lad).
Could have gone either way today and it went to Sunderland.

I know they do mate, but conditions like that are a leveller. Hence why they leave it to go to ruin. At least I can console myself knowing we can play on grass again on Tuesday!
As for Kenny out, our league campaign has been a farce. If however we can get the FA Cup it will have been a very successful season for us.

Oh yeah, they will give us a game as well and so will Stoke.
We have won just 1 in our last 7 premier league games, that was away to Wolves.
In those games we have...
Drew at home to Stoke
Lost to Bolton
Drew at home to Spurs
Lost to Arsenal
Lost to United
And lost to City
Out of them the only game really we can't be disappointed with the score was City as we were out classed, the others we should have won/drew.
Terrible run for us at the minute and I fully expect a spanking on Tuesday.
Just been looking and in the 3 fixtures before the ones I listed
We drew with Blackburn
Drew with Wolves
Won vs Newcastle.
So 2 wins in 11 games... disgraceful.

We'll batter Everton on Tuesday. I'm very confident the lads have just been given the bolllocking of a life time.

Oh I hope we do I just can't see it happening.
Thing is Everton never find motivation a problem, they are just not as big a club, where as we always find motivation a problem and I can see us looking ahead instead of at the game at hand...

Yes, Steven Gerrard! Just cemented his place even further as a Liverpool hero.
Hatrick against the blue (sh..) poo.
Boom!
Win against Stoke at weekend, the world looks a better place once more!

Even better that a derby win is that you've dented Everton's confidence, giving Sunderland a better chance of getting a result in the FA Cup Quarter Final
