He said it was complete, then Meireles left and we were stuck with Adam whilst Gerrard and Lucas both got injured.

I don't know. It depends if the owner likes winning trophies or not.
Kenny = trophies. Has done throughout his footballing career as player and manager.
Yes, the net spend isn't that high. But I remember Dalglish saying that the squad was complete and ready prior to the season (?). Considering what was spent on new players, it was done really poorly.
Either the wrong people were bought or maybe the manager is not a good fit to make lots of pretty good players play well together.
I mean- if you were the owner, would you trust Dalglish with loads of money after what he's done so far?

I am made up for Brad Jones today. He has truly been through a lot with his son Luca and deserved his big day.
Brad Jones on LFC fans support: "I'm not the most important player here but they are the biggest family in the world."
Brad Jones on Pepe Reina: "I've just told him to go and help us win it, I know I probably won't play but I'm part of this club."

Looks like Tim Cahill has been on the bitter this morning
Asked whether Liverpool could win the FA Cup, Tim Cahill replied:
'I think it's going to be difficult for them. They've had an indifferent season and they've just got away with it today.
'A few decisions didn't go our way but I'll just say they've got a lot of work to do.'
He said: 'They made some good substitutions and they scored two goals from two errors from us.
Priceless Timothy.

23 years on from Hillsborough, RIP to all who lost their lives their, and I hope 1 day the families can find what they are looking for.
It is shocking that 23 years on that still nobody has been made accountable for the deaths of 96 innocent people.

14:31 Sun 15 Apr 12 (BST) [Link] Winning trophies is nice. Although the Carling Cup by itself is pushing it (especially a win against a lower division team on penalties). So the Final is fairly important when deciding about the success of the season.
I think they would prefer consistently good results, playing in the Champions League, and challenging for the League.
But I'm all for giving managers more time to get it together. I just think this was a season of awful football for Liverpool.

Haha Carling Cup pushing it? We beat Stoke away, Chelsea away and City over 2 legs to have the right to play Cardiff.
Listen, i've said this all season. 4th is not good enough for Liverpool.
No way would I be swapping where we are now for 4th.
There is no such thing as top 4. There is a top 1 and the rest have lost.
We have finished in the top 1 out of 92 clubs in the League Cup and are now in the final 2 of about 200 clubs in the FA Cup.
A Cup double will be nothing short of a great season for us not even in an era of champions league dominance should it go down as anything but.
Liverpool exist only to win trophies. That has been our mission statement since the Shankley days. I don't remember him ever saying anything about 4th.

Yes, a cup double would be nice, although it still only papers the cracks of a very mediocre season.
Let me put it this way- I think the competition, Man Utd/Chelsea etc will gladly give you the Carling Cup when they challenge for the league and the Champions League. Gerrard looked almost embarrassed when they made him parade the trophy at Anfield after they won.

Nah mate, he didn't. No need to lie to try and justify your POV. He was made up like the rest of Liverpool because he is a winner and loves to win.
You are starting to sound silly. This papering over the cracks cliche the papers keep churning out seems to be catching on. Football is about winning trophies. You are measured by how many trophies you have won. Not how many times you have qualified for the CL.
A Cup double would be more than nice. It would be another great chapter for our club and we don't need outsiders to tell us what is good for Liverpool.
It has always been our remit to win trophies, that is the reason we have won more than any other side in England.
---
I don't know which set of fans decided to chant "murderers" during the minutes silence for Hillsborough but I find it quite sad to be honest.
It was however a poor decision to make two cockney clubs try and behave for a minute on a topic they care little about. I had a feeling they wouldn't manage it.

Haha, goal apparently. I think a lot of sports are laughing at that.
Goal line technology?

Someone recently suggested an anti-Chelsea conspiracy on this thread recently?
By the way 2good, I don't live in England and thus never read English papers. I read BBC every now and then, but that's all. I am merely an observer and surprised to hear that anyone would consider this season a success for Liverpool. Any team can fluke a cup run. Consistency shows the class of a team and Liverpool just doesn't have it. So yes, I'll stand by the papering the cracks comment (which I didn't read anywhere...).
To me it just sounds like people love Dalglish for what he did in the past and see gold everywhere he goes.

Not gold mate, Silver. Lots of it.
Chelsea fans chanting murderers, Spurs fans booing them. 8 years before the disaster in 1989, 86 Tottenham fans were injured in a crush in the very same Leppings Lane end at Hillsborough.
The minutes silence lasted 28 seconds.
Retards.

Spurs can moan and whinge all they like there about the ref (and he was awful, and made a huge mistake) but they were outplayed and outfought there.
Perhaps the game changed, but they got the goal back almost instantly. Other than 5 minutes in both halves they deserved to get beat and beat well.
Please don't offer 'Arry the Ingerland job, FA!
See you at Wembley, Chewsee.

^Agree with that. Reminds me of Germany - England. I figured I'll bring that game up as often as possible just to keep it fresh.

Was going to say that myself tbh .
I'm sure England will rectify it though, that is if you get past 'the group of death.'

Hope those chelsea fans who booed and shouted murderers die, preferably in a stadium crush, see how they like it. Then we liverpool fans can show our class and observe a minutes silence and make them feel small.
Hate chelsea fans with a passion now. They boo Lucas when he's going off in a stretcher and now they do this. Unacceptable. Chelsea need to check the video clips and ban the fans for life.
