Derry, I would love to see you go up to a mother of a dead child and say "I know you still haven't been told how your child died, but hey it was ages ago now. Move on, lol!"

I hate how people not connected with things think they have the right to tell people to move on! As long as the families want to grieve then the club will support that. Who are we to tell them what to do? We didn't have a loved one crushed to death.

Some of the families have moved on, and they have done so with everyones best wishes, others don't want to because they feel incensed still.

I have never said the families can move on because nothing has happened! After 23 years they still have no justice for the deaths of those who trusted the police and stewards to keep them safe. All they got was crushed.

It isn't hard just to keep quiet, it doesn't actually require intelligence at all.

I know it might be a hard concept to grasp but the quality of your living conditions doesn't have any bearing on a persons scummyness or lack of. Saddam Hussein had like 4 palaces.

I live in Kensington - In Liverpool. It is poverty stricken in the main. The people who live there though would sit quietly for a minute if they were told to.

I'm sorry but to chant murderers during a minutes silence just shouts small time. Fans who still do not know how to act on a big occasion.

From Racism in Nowich, Anti Semitism in Genk and now this at Wembley your clubs fans have had quite the season.

I don't really want to debate Hillsborough. It really isn't for me to do so. But if you cannot see how people are still upset then there is no hope for you. Forgetting the 96 who died for one second, what about those who lived? The ones who effectively crushed those in front of them to death. Some people will never get over it, and don't want to be told they should.

As for goal line technology I think the whole of football was embarrassed today.

When Cricket is using technology - a sport that hates change I think it's time football should embrace it as well.

It isn't as if its a discussion in the pub. Everyone knows if it went over or not.

"So goal or not?"

"Not."

Weathers nice....

Weren't expecting anything less from Derry than what he said. What were the FA thinking in forcing the 1 minutes silence on two clubs who really couldn't give a crap?

If it was the other way round though and Liverpool fans were like that towards dead Chelsea fans who died in a disaster it would be totally different. Don't say it wouldn't because it would.

Just hope we go out and absolutely stuff you in the final, however if we do you will blame it on fatigue and the fact you have played so many games in so many days...

Oh well ay.

And if Liverpool lose you'll find a way of blaming it on the FA, or anybody but Kenny Dalglish because he can't do any wrong.

Not at all, you obviously don't read our posts on here correctly if that is what you think. I have personally said many times on here although I love Kenny he is not the man for us, I have often stated how terrible we are playing.

Seems you just overlook what people here say and listen to what people are saying elsewhere, like on RAWK who at least half are everton fans anyway just on there for a laugh...

Liverpool don't have to try and boss the game we have nothing to play for in the league. I think we play better on the counter tbh.

I think... now the game is moved to a later date... If we beat you in the FA Cup Final... you will sneakily let us win the Premier league game.

As correct me if im wrong... but if Chelsea finish top 4... we wont need European seeding for winning the FA Cup... so that then gets given to the runner up.... - Liverpool?

Who knows hey!?

No we won the Carling Cup we are already in the Europa mate. No freebies

What are you on about lol?? I was getting at the fact that Liverpool fans all think Kenny is great when actually he's an awful manager. Nothing to do with what anyone else is saying anywhere. Not sure if you misread my post?

He didn't misread it, he said he has criticised Kenny all season. So of course he can do things wrong, and he has. He's human.

Still, Kenny is one of the most successful managers in the premier league at the moment and best striker in British football post war. An absolute great of the game, and the ultimate Liverpool legend. Think Gerrard and double it.

3 old first division titles, promotion with Blackburn in 92 followed by their Premier League win in 95, 2 FA Cups, 2 League Cups and a Scottish League Cup.

Won Manager of the Year awards in 1985/86, 1987/88, 1989/90, 1994/95

Not bad going.

Bayern V Real tonight. Should be a cracker this one. I think the key for Bayern is Ribery. If he plays as he has been doing recently they have a chance.

Also Gomez who will no doubt get a lucky goal bounce off an obscure part of his body as per usual The luckiest player I've ever seen in my life.

Have to agree there, although he has score a few crackers in the Bundesliga this season. But the majority of his goals could be scored by my grandmother. Then again, I guess it's good that he's in the right place at the right time?

Hmm, no positive feedback from my posts as usual haha.

Seriously... I'm not sure if your lives are all really peachy? But even if it was a minutes silence for anyone... I would keep silent... but I wouldnt pull a hissy fit if it was reverse and liverpool fans were singing during?

Like Mike said, "Not going to debate with people that have nothing to do with it"....

Exactly. We have nothing to do with it so why does this cause a problem? It means nothing to us and yet only a small % acted... whilst focusing on them... you are forgetting the 99.9% of fans who dont like Liverpool, who remained silent.

I also dont understand how Liverpools fans claim "They are insulting me".

"We are still suffering"

Honestly... I dont think you have a right to be apart of it unless you have lost something through this. A loved one or a limb.

I honestly wouldnt care or get irate about it in the opposite scenario, I really think its silly.

They have died, families have morned and in most cases want to move on. Minutes silence every year isnt going to help this in the slightest. What a stupid concept.

You won't be seeing Man United in 50 years time... " Luis Suarez has died, here we have a minutes silence in his honour"... its nearly that silly.

None of you must have any real problems in your lives, seem far too focused on this that dont really matter and make them really personal to you.

@Cue_power

I wouldn't take too much notice to be honest. Liverpool fans like to live in the past for some reason.

To be honest, I think holding a minutes silence in a game involving Tottenham & Chelsea, for something that has nothing to do with them, and for something that happen so long ago, is the most pointless, stupid and weird thing..

Fair enough, Liverpool fans that were directly affected by what happened in (86 was it??), i.e, lost loved ones, or were injured as cue_power said, hold a minutes silence or whatever you want to do if it helps ease the pain, but is it really necessary to force your remembrance on the rest of the country 20+ years after it even happened??

Without trying to start arguments (although I think that would be funny so feel free to react), Liverpool fans need to build a bridge and get over it.

We hold a minutes silence for the World Wars those were longer ago.

People die they deserve a minute's silence or applause imo provided they aren't like Hitler or someone. Death is something that should be respected, it is cowardly to joke about the dead just because they can't have a go back.

Listen, there is no excuse to chant murderers in your 1000s during a minutes silence. There is nothing more that needs to be said. It is just a question or respect for the cause, your club and yourself.

That isn't living in the past, Jack_pot it really is boring and mundane to read "Liverpool fans live in the past". Funnily enough I've heard that before.

At Warrington we had a minute silence a few years back for Margaret the old dear from the club shop who had died the night before. It was against St Helens in a huge derby. The minutes silence was immaculate.

Football has become so tribal that we can no longer care about people unless they are one of our own. Madness.

Although I myself was not born this did have a big effect on my own family, Jon-Paul Gilhooley (the youngest one of the 96 who died I belive at the age of 12) was at the time living next door to my parents and they got on really well with him and his family. My father was due to actually be going the game with him but due to unforseen circumstances never. Which in my eyes is a good thing for me.

If you had read though Jack we have all stated here it was wrong to enforce the minutes silence on two teams it wasn't involving. Believe me many Liverpool fans and families of the victims couldn't care less if evry club had a minutes silence or not all they want is justice. Liverpool hold a minutes silence the game before and on the day out of respect, the family member do not have to attend these if they do not wish but do so anyway. If they believe that this was holding them back from moving on surely they wouldn't go but would remember them in their own way.
