Yeah, the clean sheet makes Chelsea look good, but really, Barca got through 5 times! They put one or two of those away (still a poor rate considering the quality of the chances) and everyone would say Chelsea let them through too easily.

Well when you are playing a side better than you the only thing to do really is defend in your own half and hit on the break if you can.

Sachez hitting the bar... Cech came off his line so quickl, forced Sachez... if it was Messi, Xavi, Andrea it would have been a goal. But Sanchez? Meh. Was lucky to hit the bar with that pace. No elevation at all. He just needed to beat the keeper to get it in and it to be on target. Poor effort.

The only chance they had proper was Fabregas completely pathetic miskick at goal paaahaha! What a $%&£ he is.

On balance, I think Chelsea had as many chances/ half chances as Barca. They hit the post, but it was covered. They tested Cech, but I could have saved those shots.

Yes they are the best team itnt he world... but they are still over rated. And Chelsea very much under rated in a sense.

We maybe had a few little scares? but I felt comfortable throughout. A freekick here of there I was like noooo but they were weak.

If Drogba had any real support upfront... a sturridge, we would have ruined that barca defence. Drogba took 3 of them on EVERY FRICKING time before enivitably getting tackled.

Barca have to bring th game to us 2nd leg... if we score a cheeky goal... they then need to score 3 goals.

Chelsea were lucky but am glad they got the win I think they'll get shown how play at Comp Nou but you never know with this game!

Also when Stoke got FA Cup final think we had 33,000 each to 24,000 going to coorperate but something happened to their seating in the Stoke half so they increased ours to 35,500 with City's not moving.

If you had 2 up front Barca would have ran riot through your midfield.

4-4-2 does not work against Barca.

You played like every does against them. 10 behind the ball. They had 70% of the ball and you had one shot on target. That is the only way to beat them, they can never be outplayed.

They are not over rated but sometimes they can be got at if they lose the ball and the team breaks quickly, because their right back in Alves goes further up the pitch than opposition wingers.

Basically, Drogba on a different day... would have controlled the ball inside the first 5 minutes, and slotted it past Valdes 1-0.

Yes on a different day Barcelona may have pentrated us.

But we showed character, determination & resiliance.

A mis kick shot at goal.. a few rubbish freekicks. Hitting the bar (due to Cechs speed off the line) hitting the post which was covered by 3 different players. And Cole's clearance which was going wide anyway.

Where were Barcelonas 1 on 1 scenarios? Chelsea played that game exactly how they wanted to.

What I mean by if Sturridge was there... is Drogba mugged that defence by himself. Ramieres was our next/only player who has legs to support. And then from a distance Mata and Lampard. Hence the goals, Lampard tackles, onto Mata, through to Rameries through to Drogba.

They did penetrate you! They missed 3 sitters (Fabregas twice and 93rd minute, as well as the Sanchez half-chance that got caught under his feet 5 yards out) and hit the post/bar twice. If they only use one or two of those chances, which would still be poor, we wouldn't be talking about a great Chelsea performance.

Considering who the opponent was, Chelsea did well. But to say they played as well or stronger than them? No.

Forgot to say a few days ago but well done to Reading on promotion to the premier league.

I think they will do very well next season, should easily stay up if they sign a few key players. Need a striker and a winger I think. Perhaps a LB too. Ian Harte (the Leeds legend) is out of contract. Their CB partnership is very good. Kaspars Gorkss will be a hero for them next season at the back. QPR were stupid to sell him when he got them promoted the year before.

Well yeah, because it is a meaningless stat really if you can't do anything with the ball. The stat also suggests that teams know we find it difficult to break them down if they stay compact.
