How about a Carom game that allows 100 shots and records the top 50 best success percentage.
Its hard to get a game of carom some days so this would be a challenge you wouldnt need an opponent for, a bit like the golf game in pool. The difference here though is its highly unlikely someones ever going to get 100% so the challenge would always be to better your score, not like the golf which u can master. Any Runs which u make in your 100 shots could also be recorded on your profile .
Shouldnt be too hard to set up as its already available in practise mode but would make the game more of a challenge

How about random power cuts where the table suddenly goes dark and you have to play from memory... for some people that wont affect their carom game at all .

Or 'holiday cottage table', where you have random drift towards one corner, one slightly smaller pocket where the balls don't pot, massively reduced spin because the owners forgot to buy any chalk and random kicks off bits off sawdust lying on the table. Maybe a stray cat on the table too... its not a hippo but cats can chase balls that hippos would leave...

did anyone ever watch big break with jim davison and john virgo.. maybe we could have a similar game to that.. probably on the reg table or orig think arcade could be abit small.. but basically instead of scoring the ball value it depended wot pocket you potted the ball. so black into the yellow pocket would be worth alot more then potting it in its usual pocket..

i know ive not written it explaining to good but if u watched it u would know wot im on about..

good thing is its a single player game which is what we need on here.

Carom Call Cushions

me and apple (mich) sort of invented a new game for you to play, makes you think harder on your shots, we tried it and amount of calls i got wrong was unreal lol.

i came up with numbers.

Rules:

+2 for correct cushion hits (must score a point for this to count) (+2 doesn't count if 2 cushions is called in a single shot in which case look to +1)

+ 1 if you call 2 or more cushions say 3/4 (/ = or)

-5 for incorrect cushion hits (again must score)

If you don't call a cushion its same as an incorrect answer.

If you don't score a point it doesn't count to your total.

The problem with trying to come up with something equivalent to pool's minigolf is that it has to be something completely different, not just a variant on an existing game.

I was thinking earlier and thought of either snooker air hockey or snooker pong maybe?

as for air hockey and ping pong i used to love playing them, for new sites im sure there are endless possibilities its the question of do people want it? does nick have the knowledge to do so? is nick willing to do it? etc

I would love that...Make a choice for first to 5-10 for friendlies and for ranked first to 5...Keep the ranked games short...Meaning you'll need to be good and accurate to win the game.... !

The ranking system would need a complete overhaul for this to happen. Me and nick were discussing this a couple of week back (day before the new website layout actually), and as adam_147 already knows, there are a couple of assumptions in there which would become void if different amounts were added.

But site owner & admins are just not interested in the simplest of things! And carom is being played incorrectly in favor of people that havent got a clue about it.

P.S And then we have wrong lag & double kisses rules, on a wrong table.
