I have just been reading this, been reading for a couple of days, and in a way i agree, but to be honest, if Moderators ask you what your name is, its only because they are helping to keep the game a friendly environment for players... They dont want people ruining the game again, There only doing what they applied to do lol ?

As someone who has been in this situation, I do not disagree and im not against it, I have had Mods ask me, plenty of times, and you just got to be honest, Because lets face it, they will know who you are through IP Address..

Not all of the time. I know for me anyway, I use a public VPN.

Right i think all should stop posting on this thread, like a moderator has said use contact us if any problems with staff....

Admin pick moderators who will help run this site as smooth as possible without problems, and if problems occur staff will take action!

Please do remember staff can get busy in and outside of funkysnooker, so please enjoy this site and help staff to maintain it without problems.

Just corrected your post. Unless someone has clear moderating experience and lets admins know about that in their applications, admins ultimately have no knowledge as to whether or not the members they are picking to become moderators will do a good job at it.
Which then leaves them to decide based purely on activity, country, age, etiquette, and most importantly it seems, popularity.

Once you're a moderator you're no longer a regular member. Your role on the site completely changes. You have to act differently, remembering that you're representing the whole site. Some members may seem to be up to the job, but when it comes down to it, they get lazy, uninterested, disorganised, unprofessional and basically become useless. I've seen this happen so many times over the years on plenty of different forums. It's a common occurrence.

Just doesnt go on what you put for your application... how you are within the game as well, with members etc...

So... admin wouldnt pick you if you was naughty all the time!

That would go under the popularity part of my previous post, and also the etiquette part.

It's mostly down to the application though.

The title , Lets get real honest mods... would admin have us here or members if we wasnt honest and helped? as sending a complaint would show different if didnt help to what we can... correct or not??
