i know this isnt straight snooker,but didnt want to start a new thread for im just gonna say lol. i just watched for the 1st ever time a show called "big break" and they played a game where the pocket next the yellow spot was coloured black and if you potted the black in that pocket you got double points, the green spot pocket was pink and each pocket had a colour,that would be interesting and fun to play i think and something different

its only a gameshow so put up a real good fight,im gonna be snookering you,snookering you 2night.......BIG BREAK!

the contestants knew it was game over if they landed up with reardon or griffiths

they should do a new show with the newer players like higgins, williams, ronnie etc

but for game mode it would bring a challenge no doubt but would prefer a fresh mode like Doubles, Snooker Plus or Straight Snooker

Agree with James, think we need a completely fresh type of game rather than a variant of snooker. Love that Big Break game though, sounds quite interesting.

The only problem is nick dont give a toss about snooker he only cares about pool

False. We got Power and practice carom recently. What did pool get? The arcade games lol!!
I think we're well off in that comparison.

Some people need to be happier with what the site gives them. Nick works hard in making this site run smoothly and efficiently so surely making new games for a minority that are unhappy is the least of his problems? I think both sites have sufficient games as proven by the amount of time you yourself actually spends on here :-/

I am great full for this site it just needs to be spiced up a bit

i know he makes alot of effort for this site, obviously we wouldnt expect a new game straight away, but i was thinking for the next major update?

Just out of interest, is straight snooker like straight pool where you just keep potting balls, or does the order continue so you pot the 15 reds+colours, colours then the reds re-rack when you are on the black? If the latter, do the balls score their normal amounts or does it just count as a "pot"? i.e. is the aim to pot as many balls as possible, or to get the highest break possible?

i have no idea i can't see any rules for it.

i would assume it would be like normal snooker but instead of a normal situation all reds + colours are in a rack, maybe 6 reds and 6 colours before a re rack (colours stay in pocket instead of re rack) then all could count as 1 point.

Well surely someone needs to think of the rules before suggesting the game type is added .
