A complete, all round player. Can play you off the table or grind you into the dirt. He has the lot!

I never said I like him! Nor I dont do.

I only said I rarely seen a comeback of him within one session. Usually he needs a break to reconcentrate.
But coz he did it its worth to be honored IMO!

In fairness it was BEFORE last years world champs that he got cleared so it's over a year ago now he is current world champ due to his excellent play not because he threw frames clearly, wether he cheated or not it's in the past and I'm sure he regrets his part in the whole situation but let's face it Hendry was mechanical in the 90's as was Davis in the 80's so why can't Higgins be just a mechanical as really and truly it's efficient and wins him whatever he wants.

cheating? you honestly think he could cheat 4 world titles? the man has heart and passion for the sport and has class. End of!

There was a video but it was never proven that the money exchanged hands nor proven he actually lost a game or frame, he only got found guilty of bringing the game into disrepute hence only a 6 month ban :-)

He wouldn't have even received a ban at all if World Snooker weren't highly suspicious of his match fixing. So there was no direct proof, he would have never been banned if the match fixing was little more than a rumour.

As far as I'm concerned he's an incredibly talented player, but I've lost respect for him.

Brecel looks really unsettled which is a little disappointing. Hope he can get himself together in the interval.

I personally!! think he was guilty as sin. Couldn't believe my eyes when i watched the video. When i read the headlines that a big snooker guy(not a fat joke haha) agreed to throw frames i never! thought it would be Higgins. He may have only been found guilty of bringing the game into disrepute but i think the snooker board were lenient because they didn't want 1 of the games biggest stars out of an already troubled sport. I wonder if under the same circumstances a smaller name like a Fergal O'brien or Nigel Bond would have got the same slap on the wrist treatment as Higgins. I doubt it.
I've never been a fan of him but i do respect his talent!! and imo he is definitely in the list of 5 best players of the modern era. Just a shame that that fiasco has clouded his career and his legacy.

Its just my opinion mate and i'm not saying he can't be? And yes, Davis and Hendry were, but I'm not neccesarily relating it to World Champions. Anyhow, I just don't like watching players like those, so inevitably i'm always drawn to the 70's and 80's. We have players like Dave Gilbert and Dominic Dale, who, personally, I would much rather watch.
