Racism.... fuelled by bitter assertions that no immigrant ever has the least respect for the environment in his adopted country because he never really believes it's his
These days, it feels to me like you make a devil's pact when you walk into this country. You hand over your passport at the check-in, you get stamped, you want to make a little money, get yourself started... but you mean to go back! Who would want to stay? Cold, wet, miserable; terrible food, dreadful newspapers - who would want to stay? In a place where you are never welcomed, only tolerated. Just tolerated. Like you are an animal finally house-trained.

C'MON
they come here get paid more here than they would in there own country.
We wouldn't be in this financial crisis if it weren't for the influx of illegals, the government knows they don't need to give the working man a decent hourly rate and they don't why? ill tell u why they can employ cheap labour from the "foreigners" they do what we wont do as we see it as an unacceptable wage for the job at hand, that's why were totally screwed as a nation.
it shouldn't be GREAT Brittan any more it should be EASY Britain as were now a easy target
Don't get me wrong i know many many foreigners now and they are all hard working guys and great people. and i have nothing against any of them as i know there story. but its purely the fact they do what we wont that has us a A 3rd world nation for workers now

Look like it or now Britian has made much more money from immigration than immigrants. If you can't understand that then whats the point talking about it?
Your first paragraph is contradictory. On one hand we are easy Britain, yet on the other hand they accept wages that 'we' see as an unacceptable.
Yes very few will be laughing now because they got a good deal, but the vast majority are living in poverty, and constantly told that they don't belong, undeserving etc... by the news rags and it's brain washed readers.
I'm waiting for the day a newspaper will print "Things are actually not that bad here, just enjoy yourselves" as their headline. Doubt they will though because misery sells more. People lap it up without questioning what it is they're reading.
Britain is in no way a 3rd world country for jobs and the suggestion that "the country is in this mess" because of immigration is ridiculous.
The country is in a slight pickle because we spent more money than we had. Banks borrowed to people who had no way of paying the money back. Now they have stopped borrowing completely. The reccession was caused in Wall Street, and it's trickled it's way into Europe. Either way, to compare the UK to 3rd world countries is ignorrant.
The idea that imigration has had any effect on that is just ridiculous ramblings. Countries who have low levels of immigration are also in the same situation. They are two unrelated issues in the main.

u a muppet or what i cant make my mind up yet sorry but its my opinion and this country allows me that right or it did the last time i looked...
as i said i know many foriegners and 99% of them are honest hard working folk that have come here to make money But they dont keep it all for themselves, most sent it back home to there families as our money is worth more there than her, the jobs they do here would only earn then a pittancy over there so there logic is good that way, but its because of the vast numbers that are working here that enables or enpowers the government to keep our minimum wages to a minimal.
every1 is free to speak here its a right we were born with also its our right to earn a decent wage for the job we do and thats not the case
sorry if im being presumptuous here but ur a 20yr old guy who probably still stays with mummy and daddy who doesnt have to make his own way in the big bad world yet, as u will see from my profile i am a lot older supports a family goes to college and still works on my days away from college why? beacuse i dont earn enough to support my family by any other means i dont ask for governemt handouts i see them better used for them that require them, but if i was paid a decent wage for the job i do i wouldnt have to go out for apporx 60hrs a week just to make ends meet.this all because of the hourly rate caused by "cheap labour" via hard working foriegners working for sub standard wages

Haha I knew my age would make you right. Don't be stupid mate, either debate the point or don't.
What people choose to do with their money is of no business of yours or mine. They can send it home or chuck it on red at the casino. Either way good luck to them, they have earnt it.
Immigration has helped thios country enormously. That isn't even an opinion, it is a fact based on tangable evidence.
You said that illegals had caused the financial crisis. You can be 5 years old or 50. Your still wrong either way mate, sorry.
It is well acknowledged the banks caused the recession. They are the people you should be venting your anger at, those who are still being paid millions of £s in bonuses every year.Money which the government gave them to be bailed out. Taxpayers money. Figures that make the 35£ a week most asylum seekers receive pale into insignificance.

if u read my post i never said they caused the problem i said the influx(or amount) of immigrants has caused it
just for arguments sake
1. If we "British citizens" got a decent wage for the jobs we had would we be in hole we are?
A. No
2. if the government keeps the wages to a minimum how to they fill the jobs?
A. by allowing foreign labour into the UK to fill the jobs.
Am i right on both points
yes i am
is the government in a hole absobloodylutely why? taxation
but keeping wages to a minimum aint helping though if we paid our workers a decent wage to produce a decent product we could sell that product for a better price as it is a better quality merchandise ... they think pay less sell more at a higher price will get us out the whole it will only get worse..
we've had 2 recessions now in the last 20yr and if it sticks on this current downward spiral its only gonna get worse not better
your quote

they government tells the banks how high to jump christ
sorry bud u need to wait till ur a wee bit older and wiser in years b4 u start commenting on these things in my opinion ur points are valid but u need to live in the real world

having lived abroad myself , as a migrant worker for thirten years in germany i have a slightly different slant on this topic than most.
i was given two pieces of paper when i got to germany one allowed me to remain in the country as long as i didnt break the law, the second allowed me to work , as long as i didnt break the law.
at no point did i receive payments from the state .
yes we were welcomed to work and earn a decent wage , but not to drain the economy as is done here at home by migrant workers.
the claim that the immigrants here get little support is preposterous , they have an immediate right to a domicile , somthing anyone on a council waiting list is bound to find anoying to say the least and a bloody cheek to be blunt.
the town i live in now has just had a major factory closure , it was the major employer of migrants in the area. since its closure our crime rate has skyrocketed !
i hope this country will wake up one day and start kicking people out with the same eagerness they were let in.
if you have no work as an immigrant ........go home
if you get caught breaking the law..............go home (after serving tme )
if they need more border officers use the unemployed brits to man the positions ( cutting unemployment)
bonus all round

To say that people from Britain won't work at minimal wage is completely ridiculous. I am currently 22 and the minimum wage for my age category is £6.08. If you was to do a 9-5 shift every day Monday to friday that would total up to 40 hours a week, which adds up to £243.20 (before tax) A week so just short of £1000 a month.
I currently work for less than minimum wage as it is the only job I could find, I work for £5 an hour yet still happy with my income, this is because I am not a stuck up sod who thinks I am too good for anyone. If there is work to be done I will go do it, simple. I have tried finding other jobs but the fact remains there are not many out there and every job wants previous experience. People these days with no experience read the job description and say to them selves "Oh preferably experience needed, won't get that." Try thinking positive for once, if an immigrant can come into this country and get a job at £4-£5 an hour why can't you go out get the same job and use that as your experience when trying to find a new job?
Saying you won't work for that amount of money just shows your lack of commitment and your mentallity that you think you are better than everyone else then sure enough they will hire someone who will work for that amount of money, who is up for the job in hand and who will work with all their heart.
£6.08 - the main rate for workers aged 21 and over
£4.98 - the 18-20 rate
£3.68 - the 16-17 rate

I know a lot of people who run businesses (my dad being one of them), and I know first hand they would rather employ someone from their country, from their neighbourhood and their walk of life. But this isn't as easy as people make out, we have hired English people who worked at NMW which is £6.08 an hour for the guys age, and he threatened to leave because of his "ridiculously low pay" and then in the end got sacked for thieving. At the same time we had a Polish gent working there who was on NMW for 18-20 rate and he worked his socks off, never a bad word said, never done us any wrong.
Now when we put out advertisements for jobs and had interviews (which I was at a few of) it was these immigrants, who are more passionate and more willing to work and show a lot more enthusiasm, so of couse we would want someone wants to be here rather than someone who shows nothing and basically doesn't want to get out of bed for less than £10 an hour.
It's the ridiculous attitude of people why they haven't got jobs not the fact people are employing immigrants, people are employing immigrants because of the terrible attitude shown by British people in interviews and in the jobs. This is just my opinion on what I have witnessed first hand.
I live on a council estate in Liverpool and I know for a fact we have one of the highest unemployment rates in the country and that is because a lot of youn g people turn to crime because it pays more...

mich i here what ur saying bud i wont outwith college for £6.40 an hr just now its been like that for the last 5yr since i started at this company i have always worked
but where i stay there are people who cant get jobs like that and its the companys thats keep wages down so people who are not trained to in a "professional manner" that have to do manual labour that wont work for minimal wage as they see it as back breaking and sometimes not worth there time to go work as at the end of the week there wages are swallowed up by tax, rent, gas elect etc there better off living on handouts
but when u get 5 or 6 immagrant who all live together in 1 house sharing bills THEY WILL WORK FOR THE MONEY AS ITS VIABLE FOR THEM
that says theres something seriously wrong with the way we as a nation acts
its not that people dont wanna work its just not enough to live on to be honest

Of course crime pays more if you steal a decent car seel it for a few hundred pound and then that's a nights work sorted, or if you sell drugs you are making a big income.
My problem is there isn't much of a deterrent on these sort of instances, if someone gets caught in a stolen car they get a suspended licence for about 5 years and a slap on the wrist nowadays, how is that going to stop someone? If someone gets caught with drugs they have them taken off them go to court and get told they are naughty. Lock them up!
I know a young man who shot someone, he got 5 years alltogether will be out after about 3 years. How is that much of a deterrent from crime?
Yes the country is in a bad way but until we get a hold of crime properly it is just going to continue as the generation now coming through (a lot of them anyway) have realised crime is less work than a real job and pays more.

Point 1.
If you are on Jobseekers allowance they send you on any courses you need to become professional enough. FACT!
If people don't want to agree to these courses it's their problem.
Point 2.
You telling me £1000 for working around 120-160 hours a month is worse than the £216 or whatever you would get a month of JSA?
Please don't try and fob me off with it's not enough to live on, I have a child, my own car my own bills...

My monthly outgoings I have car insurance (around £200) Petrol which is around £30-£40 a week keeping myself, partner and baby fed and clean and healthy and rent etc.
If I can live off arounbd £850 a month then anyone else on NMW in a 40 hr pw job can it is just not many people have the mentallity to want to go work in Asda, Tesco or Mcdonalds as they are seen as dead end. Maybe yeah, but I know I would rather work in any of them than be on Job seekers allowance, have less money and have no job experience.
I have worked in Mcdonalds by the way, great rates of pay, pay rises every 6 months great bonuses, they look after their staff very well. I had to leave unfortunately due to leaving the area and the costs I had at the time.

Exactly, so why would someone employ someone who has no workrate, just lazes around all day, comes in 10-15 minutes late, has a face like a smacked backside because of their unfair pay and takes about 15 cigarette breaks over a hard wroking, motivated happy person?
I know which I would rather employ...
EDIT>> I am not in any way stereotyping here, just saying if someone goes to an interview and gives it there all of course they will get the job over someone who goes in yawning in a pair of tracksuit bottoms going "I want da job to pay fer me weed habbit innit". << Of course no one in their right mind would say that just a wee example.

what i said was peoples attitude from where i live are that they wont work for the money on offer

if i work i have to pay xy&z if i dont well i get rent for free hand outs by the government and i still can afford my drink which the government pay more money for and if a druggie well they get all sorts of extra benefits for
thats the attitude of people here
if and im saying if nmw was increased in the same respect to inflation then yes probably more "brits" would work

lol totally agree
