Taking so long because admin have hardly been around on either sites to do anything. Pool is full of new ideas and everything and they not even getting looked at. Would have thought admin would be right on this idea though as it is for Ian.

We are actually discussing this still, although i'm inclined to agree we are being a little slow on the situation, in which i can only apologise.
I'll try sort this asap.

I think it's a disgrace this hasn't been sorted and i'm sorry if that sounds harsh.
All staff give their free time to basically run this site free of charge for the one man that benefits - Nick. With this in mind i actually find it unbelievable that the owner hasn't taken it on himself to make sure this memorial was off the ground weeks ago. As it stands the man barely logs in, along with luckypot, so god only knows how it's still in discussion on an admin level? Ian gave his time, would it be so hard to spare him a little of yours..
By all means be lax on your contacts or forum feedback, but i would have thought that 'form' would have taken a back seat in this instance.
Embarrassing and quite frankly sad.

I never really spoke to MK, but when i did he always seemed to be a very nice and genuine guy. RIP mate, and i do hope this idea is sorted out soon.

In all fairness, not all admins in the world would be prepared to dedicate a popular feature on their site to a member that passed away. I spoke to mk_lad a few times, and he was a great laugh, and will be sadly missed, but (without trying to sound too harsh as I don't want to offend anyone), does a fairly large scale dedication need to take place every time a member of a website passes away? I'm all for the idea, don't get me wrong, but I think people need to be thankful that the admins are even discussing implementing this, as they could have quite easily have rejected the idea straight away.

In all fairness, Ian WAS a respected member and Moderator of this site. Its only right that funkypool, and funky snooker do something as a mark of respect. It need not be every week, just to let his family know he will be sorely missed. The majority of people who have posted on here, want it and since Admin are looking into it, they want it too.

Completely understand where you are coming I think the fact that he gave his time freely to help a site is why deserves the recognition of the memorial tribute.

thats true but 2 months ago nick posted this on pool:
RIP Ian. A very sad loss.
Valued as both member and staff, and very popular on both here and snooker.
We are thinking to add a memorial tournament as a small token of respect.
that tells me its likely to be implemented since nick doesn't post too often. Its like a glimmer of hope for those close to Ian and if it wasn't implemented then they would lose the hope they had.
don't get me wrong i respect the admins for discussing this but normally it doesn't take a month to do so but normally a week or two.
P.S. thanks Kev, let us know the outcome

Ok I've create a tournament for this , actually 4 in fact, and they will run for 4 weeks on a Saturday.
The time is set for 20.00, so this does mean that the usual Regular marathon tournament will be cancelled for that day.
The tournament will be friendly so everyone can enter.
Also i have set it as an marathon tournament but stretched the games more. The layout is at follows ...
All rounds except QF/SF/Final Race To: 2
QF Race To: 3
SF Race To: 4
Final Race To: 5
Full details can be seen here :

Sadly The Lord will be unable to play in any of these, but I hope to see a good turnout in all 4 of these special tournaments for Mk_Lad
Though just a quick note... would it be better to have it on a Sunday night instead of Saturday due to Saturday night many people going out? Apart from July 1st.
