Funny how my post was removed, don't understand why you cant name the people who do this in turn making people not want to play against the sort of people that do this type of thing.

Very simple. There is no way of knowing you, or anyone "reporting" someone, is telling the truth.

Thats why all the other options are there - send complaint, ignore the user, ignore PM's whie in game if you like, and if you dont want to see the chat area at all, simply move your window down to hide it.

Can't see what more can be done!

before the post was removed i had a moderator, not naming no names , telling me to remove the comment and when i refused to he said he would get admin to do it. if we cant name people who do it atleast give us another option ..

not much point in naming them stuart.. chances are they dont even read forum threads. majority of ppl that read and post are either clan members or members that have been around a long time, and i believe none of these would act in such manner. all you can do really is ignore them send complaint and beat them

some of the "supposedly " respected members of clans do unfortunaltely do this , as i have had have 2 people do it to me , once in a tournament , a very high ranked and respeced player who was a very sore loser , and a clan member in a friendly tournament lol who didnt like losing to a lowly newbie at the time , its hard to ignore these idiots

I don't see how it's off putting at all...

To me there's no difference from you saying 'Hey mate how's it going' or 'Let me win please please please please please' etc etc

I play in a Premierleague Pool team, and but last week me and 3 of the team played for a league 3 team who's opoments really hate to lose so this was going be intresting..

Each shot they stand like 1 ft away from the table in your potting view, they grunt and talk as your taking a shot and we stil laughed them of the table, end of day pathetic attemps never put a focused player off online or offline.

I just think it's a bad excuse people create when they don't like to lose, if you wanted when you got your invite for final open up a Pm with them and put them on ignore every match before you play a person I just think it's apart of the game, and something nobody can do about.

I can see why it would be annoying and in a way, yes, it does show a lack of "sportsmanship".

But the trouble is, by completely banning it, we would be putting funkysnooker on some kind of strict pedestal, gearing it for a serious audience and potentially putting some people off.

Funkysnooker is better at being a 'family friendly' website which is its aim, however you wish to define that. But I think 'family friendly' means it is aimed at a very wide audience with no particular bias, which means it is maximising player numbers, even revenue in some cases.

So yes, I sometimes find it annoying depending on what mood i'm in, but its just a case of living with it and using the tools that the website gives you to block it if you don't like it.

not really, for me i always like to hear it at end of the game because like if im on a cent and someone says gg early, it puts pressure on me to try and clear up, i've always been a good loser

don't need to be a cent m8. you moan if someone says gg even in carom and your 6-0 up and on a run of 1 point and when a game is clearly over. Yes saying gg early when on a max is not really a nice thing to do. When the games clearly over, i don't see any reason for the other player to say gg early, just because it suits some people that the last ball has to roll in the pocket before the next word is said in the chat box. i say gg soon as i see there is no comeback, if the person is on a decent break i say it at the end.

I hate them too usually, but if my per mills are so high that I cant make breaks then I have to find another way to win
