just have a vote on it then let nick decide, chances are he will not go back on newbies not joining ranked tournaments

Options are...

- Keep it as it is
- Go back to friendly tournaments (doesn't matter if newbies enter then)
- Newbies can only enter friendly tournaments

my only concerns is that newbies need to play ranked games to get their correct ranking, sure theres lots of resetters but lots of genuine newbies too.

If the rank system was same in normal games than tournaments then i would agree but thats not the case, newbies play tournaments to get their correct rank quicker

i totally see where your coming from greg, i just played a tournament in original and gained 1.4 ranking from a newbie over 2 FRAMES!

this is outrageous, thats 0.7 a frame, my orig rank is only 765 and original is ment to be double the score of arcade right?

Lol that's nothing. I played a power tourny few weeks ago I won the tourny and gained 3.2 rank for the whole tourny 1hr 30 mins.

What is the problem.. You draw a newbie, you win you dont gain much, if you loose, you lose what.. 0.1 in arcade if your 800+ lol ?

I never have and never will have a problem with this, its brilliant because it increases tournament participants in tournaments, if this gets taken away, The tournament players will drop hugely.. And TournaPoints will decrese.

Yes you may not like the 'fake newbie' tag, but reseting is not a crime.

Also say if Sean reset, and lost 4-0 in marathon final, you would lose average 2-3 points.. if you play him as he is, you will lose huge.

cos if i join a tourney (which is very rarely these days) i expect to get a little bit more than 0.7 a frame especially in original.
