both sam.. for a high break like that you need to take power ball early and get in powerzone each shot.

later the better i find, i normally try to take it when theres 3-4 reds left, clear black spot first, figure out angle to get into baulk and clear balls in your way, once you have done this try for powerball and x4.

I find it people take it early they are looking at 170 ish at best

Depends- if you look at slatty's analysis on the first page, you'll see that the highest potential comes with the method of taking red early and getting loads of quadruples. But it's more difficult to achieve.

i suppose instead of risking taking it early u could take it with 4-5 reds left and make sure u get them all with quadruple blacks.. i started trying wot slatty said and moving green or yellow from the first red but its harder then it sounds..lol

Nice work slatty. I'm guessing you were pretty bored at the time? lol

indeed, I was stuck at work.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the easiest way to beat 221 is to take the power ball as the 3rd from last red and clear the table before the time runs out.

To attempt the 250 I will probably revert to the much more difficult early power ball method..

I seriously doubt I'll make a 250 tbh.

Slatty... heres a question....

What score do you think you need to be on ALREADY before potting the powerball.....

If you pot the powerball on the third last red, you can realistically get 180 points from that, maybe even more if you gamble.
2, 28, 2, 28, 2, 28, 4, 6, 8, 20, 24, 28 = 180

That would mean to beat slatty's break, you need 42 from the 6 reds before that. For a 250, you need 70 points from the 6 reds- very tough.

So to get 250, I would go for early powerball and get loads of quadruples. To get the 222, I would go for powerball with third last red.

4 reds = 4
4 double blacks = 56

60

i would say around the 60 point mark then take power ball and make sure u get the remaining 5 reds and 5 quadruple blacks.

5 reds = 10
5 blacks = 140

150

so together would be 210 then take the colours as many as u can from the powerzone..

sounds easy saying it like that

so that would make a possible 259 if you took blue, pink, black from the power zone..

Judging by what Seb just said...

2, 28, 2, 28, 2, 28, 4, 6, 8, 20, 24, 28 = 180

Well if you did 6 reds and 6 blacks in that time quadrouples.. thats also 180

that's all correct, except that in your scenario you have to get every single black from the powerzone lol. Virtually impossible.

Exactly, is why if the table looks right, taking the powerball early might get you further.
