m8 as i said to u in game have faith in urself we do u will smash it but u'll need to not think about it too much it will come but just let it flow
the way i do it if im not confident is play low 700s or below, few years ago before i got to virt for the first time in orig dest told me to play 750 or under as they tend not to win in one visit (and avoid newbies at all cost) then i got to 929 and got bored so i played a pro and unfortunately lost the game.
Problem with Arcade is anyone can win so i try to play against pros but 70% of people who are 800+ tap on the break which is another reason why i avoid arcade.
as Ian said try to be confident in yourself, not in a bored state as that turns into depression (i know from playing dest years ago), and not over confident as that can bite you eventually but think of each opponent as either a guest or a virtuoso depending on who you play better against

also if your afraid of losing rank (like me in orig) avoid tournaments until you lose over 10-15 ranking.

yea rank is a load of crap really , as james said you get to the top and then want to play crap players to get higher and higher, which effectively is just ridiculous.
but everyone does it.
gave up on rank once i got to number 1 overall rank. and never looked back.
get to where you want and then quit rank i say!!

Oh and lee, i said to b1gkuz earlier, as soon as i get 900 on my stats, ill go back to not caring, im not bothered about going for number 1... I ent got anything to prove to anyone, ive proved i can dance with the big boys, thats good enough for me.

Last week i hit a 107, the 3 games following that, i couldnt make a break over 20, the 4th game after, i hit a 104...
So up and down should be called i_am_yoyo
