Christmas is a time of year i really enjoy, especially my big Turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

Trimmings differ from one part of the country to another, but there I think that you will find crackers are ubiquitous.

Ubiquitous the crackers might be, I prefer the vegetables.

Vegetables come in all shapes and sizes. Some "older" varieties are being re-introduced, such as Jerusalem artichokes.

Artichokes hearts are easily available bottled in oil, and are great as part of an Italian course. But I don't like them.
