Season 14 - Preseason Friendlies

Please send lineups for the preseason friendlies to whocares8x8 for the following games:

Lineups for each game should have the following format:

Each team has two fixtures to play (16 games including killer). To qualify for the league, 14 out of 16 games must be completed. If a team completes fewer than 14 games, the default panel will decide whether to admit the team into the league or not.

Team changes can still be posted on the team changes thread. Once the fixtures are out, any further changes will not be valid for the friendlies.

Hi Snooker Legends!!!!!!
The Lord here, the NEW Captain of the Plate Championssss..... and runner up in the Players Championship.. at the tortoise paws of fellow Legend Dbno!

So last season was a great season for the Legends with 4th, Plate Champions, 3 of the 4 Players Championships Semi Finalists being from the Legends, as well as Matt943 reaching the QF of the Indivuduals! And of course that ALL SNOOKER LEGENDS Players Championship Final in which Dbno beat The Lord in a Deciding Frame!

But now its time to push up and on.. and see if we can do better this season

I would just like to put forward from what woods said! as vice/co captain, I will always be the person for the killer arrangements and choices. During all matches where there is 2 killer games to be done. If people wish to do killer and participate in the matches, then they should post when we look to do killer, or ask me, and I will say when were planning to do it, and say when to be online. If you are one who wants to do killer in the season a fair bit or at somepoint or want to ask about more, mainly new members as old ones like phd_sheldon and subway1203 already have an experience, then ask or message me further on it.

Gareth and the Lord did a few battles in Power and came up with 9 Cents! 6 for the Lord and 3 for Gareth! Im not one for posting what I get but A rather nice 182 and 188 was done in the mix even with my wobbelly mouse!

Please pay particular attention to the Code of Conduct towards the end.

Please note that it is against the rules to forfeit games without playing them. All games must be played!!
The scores of the preseason are irrelevant to the season- we are only determining which clans are fit to join the league.

There are 18 games for each team to play (incl. 2 killers per fixture). Completing 16 our of 18 games assures a clan entry to the league- anything below that will be left up to the default panel.

Rules for killer games can be found on the link above. They should be 2 vs 2 or more! The defaults start time for unplayed killer games is deadline day at 9pm UK time.

The deadline for preseason friendlies is Tuesday, Jan. 28th.

VOTE

A fundamental change to the way the league is scored was proposed and discussed on pages 51/52 of the discussion thread. There will be a vote to decide which system to adopt for the upcoming season.

There are two viable options:

A:
The current system remains as it is. Every frame won by all players counts as 1 point towards the team score. A bonus of 7 points is awarded for completing all frames in a fixture. The league table is decided by total points collected over the season.

B:
A new system is implemented. Teams score points based on the number of frames they win in each fixture, according to the following table:
Fixture won with more than 40 frames: 6-0
Fixture won with more than 32 frames: 5-1
Fixture won with more than 24 frames: 4-2
Drawn fixture: 3-3
Completion bonus: 2

The league table is decided by total points. In case of a tie, the number of frames won is decisive ("goal difference").


Only captains and vices are eligible to vote. In order to not influence other voters, I would prefer that votes be sent to me by message, but you may also post them on the discussion thread.
