what the hell is going on with all the times changing for various tourns? yesterday the topsy tervey was 21:45(uk time) now its 21:30... power is back at 23:00 and arc speed is back at 00:00.. confused? dam right I am

I'm loving the micro random at 00:30 Germany time though! I love random

Further to many requests from members and staff alike over the previous weeks and months, we have decided to perform a full overhaul of the current tournament structure.

We have tried to bring in a mix of mico, speed, normal and marathon for most game types (where possible), including a carom marathon (as opposed to the longer single game which some members would like).

Although this has been somewhat neglected recently, we will try to rotate the tournament schedules more often from now on.

Whilst we are fully aware that not all changes will please all members, we hope that this review will be acceptable to a great majority of you.

^A rotation (running every 25 hours or similar) would be excellent. I haven't been able to play a reg or random tourney in many weeks because the times never change.

hi all i sould'nt have to point this out but you lot will get over it in time ...just like the man said if you build a bridge you'll get over it ...it took time to build that bridge and many people got over it

However I do think Marathons should be reserved for evenings and not daytimes, and do think the 11am Power will suffer with numbers

Micros have been pushed forward to 20 past rather than 25 past.... it may be a better idea to have them at 30past the hour, so tourns are every half hour ?

Plus m_wood is right, it would be better if the micro's start at 30 past, especially between 9am and 3am. These days it happens often that less than 8 people join a micro. Nearly all major tournaments start at 10 past. If the micro would start at 30 past instead of 20 past then more people would be out of the major tournament so more people would join the micro.

Regarding the micros (in particular arcade): given the arguments above, it does indeed make sense to put the arcade start time a litte bit later. It has now been returned to *-25 past the hour.

However, there are other daily (fixed time) micros for the other game types at *-30 past the hour, so we would prefer not to have an overlap with arcade and these.

what about the friendly tournaments , will you be adding them back in ?

Friendlies are not on the cards for the time being.
They may be re-introduced at a later date though.

why have you removed the friendly tournaments

For some time people have been bemoaning the plethora of tournaments on offer. We have decided, for now, to reduce them to (generally) hourly events, with a greater mix of all types (micro, speed, marathon and normal).

They may come back at the next reshuffle if there is sufficient demand.

ok but you got ride of all the friendly tournaments . i think thats a little harsh on the people that like them .

It's what the majority of members want. It's pointless keeping friendly tournaments just because half a dozen people like them, there's still way too many tournaments as it is without them!!

Why would there be too many tournaments now? Why wouldn't it be good that anyone anywhere any time can join a tournament, ideally even the one they prefer? There is a lot of room for tournaments between 5 and 9 am. Maybe not a good time for some in the UK but there are people on here from all over the world so there will always be some interest.
On pool there are like five tournaments every hour and it works fine. Everyone would pick and play their favourite tournament, which would be a friendly for some, whats wrong with that? Nobody else is obligated to join the friendly.

Was it? Is it? I don't recall any discussion/voting, nothing to back this up. Who really expected this change, I doubt many.

Whatever is decided to make the game more interesting, more dynamic, so be it, as long as it's popular and works for all walks of Funky life.

I like this change as it was just the same old stuff and to be honest i got bored with it and nows theres a change i feel like joining the different tourneys now the topsy turvey one is brilliant i think
