Having said that our beer bellied team beat hull with a late come back, good win that going all the way to codland. We usually get battered. Like fish.

Great result for warrington yesterday, very entertaining to watch, the crowd were pretty much back to our best yesterday as well!

Moving on swiftly from our game today...

D-Day on Tuesday the 22nd. It's a time where 19 clubs who have applied for a super league franchise find out whether they have a franchise and a place in super league for 2009 and then for the next 3 years with no risk of relegation.
Squeaky bum time for some clubs, espeically the national league clubs such as Salford, Celtic Crusaders and Widnes. Incidently I believe the first two national league teams I mentioned plus the current 12 Super League clubs will get the franchise and therefore the competition being increased to 14 teams.

Sky Sports News at 10 Am is where you find out the ins and outs.

Should be interesting, hopefully Hull Kr will be awarded one. Interestingly, apparently the only way Leeds won't get a franchise is if they actually forgot to post an application or it got lost somehow.

I wouldn't be surprised. They've had a meteoric rise since forming in 2005 and the rugby talent here in Wales is phenomenal especially in the South. All it needs is some people to cross over to league from union as union is massive over in Wales, as I'm sure you all know.
It's really looking good and people in my club are already talking about crossing over as there are many little rugby league leagues forming all over Wales now, so I'm sure it's like it all over the country

It's 2011 mate, it's a 3 year license starting from next year. I actually believe it's good Celtic are in, someone new, exciting and fresh. Long way to Bridgend for me to be fair, but i'm still going next year :). Sporting is correct, it will be also good to see young Welsh players plying their trade in SL and then maybe making a decent Welsh team to take on NZ, Aussies and of course England

Although i think we are favourites ahead of tomorows game, we are on a great run and leeds are losing momenum and have an injury list a mile long, not to mention suspensions. Cmon the wireee!!

Nice win for Wire, and what a game from Lee Mitchell (lives on my street, we bought his old car the other week lol!). Mike, i told ya he was a good player, what a try he got! Burst of pace and everything! I think you've heard of him now :P

lol yeah, played brilliantly, another one for the future (RFL were moaning about our academy not bringing in enough internationals)

About the game though, i think we thouroughly deserved the win, we broke through there defence at will, and with a semi-decent referee and if Hicksy had his kicking boots on, i think we would have won by a bigger margain.

Can't complain about Jimmy Lowes, he was a winner as a player, and is turning in to a brilliant coach, and by the looks of it is going to be a winner as a coach (who needs ony Smith??) i hope jimmy gets a chance past next season, and maybe just maybe we will win something.

Also, Leeds didn't have as many injuries as i thought, Burrow, Sinfield, Maguire all played.

Didn't watch any of the game because I was camping for the weekend, i'd be gutted about the result if it were something that didn't happenevery time we play them. Does anybody else think our last few matches against them have a scary sameness about them?

Anyhow yet again, we deserve to win and lose, oh well we must not let this get to us like the last time they beat us in the cup. We need to cemment a solid playpff posotion (4th)

Meh, so much for that happening. Truly awesome comeback, deserved the win and it feels so sweet. Bitter pill to swallow after 2 last second defeats on a trot?
