Yeah very, especially when a bloke shouldn't have been on the pitch scored twice. I thought we were more proffessional now under Jimmy Lowes, maybe we are, but not by much.

I really wish that next season they scrap the report rule though, it's very easy for a raf to say that he didn't see it then cross his arms to signal putting the player on report. The two tackles on Chris Riley were both (especially the first) red card offences, Riley was on his knees on both occasions and they really were cowardly
tackles by welham, poor riley was knocked out twice in 5 minutes by the same player, and all bentham (warrington born funnily enough) did about it was basically turn a blind eye. Anyway Riley was finished after that and we were a winger short.

Anyway the real reason we lost is because we tried to score everytime we had possession of the ball, 2 games we've been in control of and 0 points to show for it. Could come back to haunt us, hope welham gets a fair few games suspended.

LOL glad they didn't have their kicking boots on or we would defo have been outside of 4th.

As it was I wasn't to shocked, a massive amount of injuries and players like briers and morley playing with injuries. Think moz is gona be out through suspention now as well . So think as Jimmy sys our play offs will be short.

Looking for a much improved, fit, proffessional Warrington next season.

Warrington are an embarrassment to the league. Lol - should have given up their spot to someone who'd give Les Cats a game (us!)

Meh you dunno what your on about ste. You having a full team would get tonked by a bigger margain than us. So what would happen when theres 5 kids playing and 2 of your most senior players playing 40-50% fit??

Finishing 6th i would have taken it before a ball was thrown, only the fact we should have sealed 4th is the disapointment, Hull KR on the other hand never threatened to break into the top 6 and i can't see it next year. Warrington now need to make a psh for the challenge cup and around 4th spot.

Well you've got Carvell (Great signing/player) and Higham ( not too sure about...) you dont have any option but to do well next year and if you dont, you are awful. lol.

And we should get in the top 6 next year, gotta be the norm now. Or else somethings gonna happen.

What a poor performance by leeds! Deserved to lose that.

I think we will be playing catalans next week, which won't be an easy match at all, could easily lose that game.

Leeds win super league 2008! Congrats to them, was a good game on saturday. Great atmosphere, Leeds deserved it on the day definately.

Now that the Super League campaign is over, we can concentrate on the Rugby League World Cup which is due to start later this month. England's first game is against PNG I think. Stanley Gene is gonna be the main threat I think, unbelievable that it's his 3rd world cup, starting in 1996.

England v Australia is gonna be a cracker. Can't wait to watch these games at daft a clock in the morning!

Come on England :-)

Thats the problem, stupid times means i cant watch the games in a weekday

The grand final was brilliant from both teams considering the conditions, Leeds were by far the better team though, limiting saints to very few chances. I was in with the leeds fans in my wire top, got a bit of stick but then i told them that i support their team better than they do, which shut em up a bit

Well done (dirty) leeds

Sad day for Rugby League today. Wakefield prop Adam Watene, aged 31, has died unexpectedly after a gym session for the club.

You just don't know what's round the corner.

Tis really said, he was set to play for the cook islands in under a fortnight, really is a massive shock, 31 years young as well.

RIP Adam Watene!

England off to a shaky start in the world cup with a 32-22 win over PNG, thought that they were very good especially 1st half, and that Stanley Gene was awesome, we got a few lucky breaks with refereeing decisions, they had a 50/50 try ruled out for forward, then we scored off a forward pass.

Australia rejects V france and then the biggy New Zealand V Australia tommorow which i can't wait to watch.

Hop this world cup is successful after the last one was a complete sham.

Cmon the League!!

England did well...

Lost 52-4 to Australia.

It's an absolute disgrace.

Renamed the titled too... freshen it up, so we can talk about International events and not just Stupor League as it's light years behind the Aussie league. I told ya Damee but you wouldn't listen, the NRL is miles better than the Super League.

Nah it aint ste, look at what Offiah said, Australian ref, Australian rules, Australian opposition in Australia, when it is roles reversed in the club challenge, they don't like it, english ref, english rules, english oppoosition in England.

Having said that the actual Australia team is what very country wants to be, pace, skill, power, strength, hunger, ability and cleverer on the ball and in defense. I just think that the poorer players in the NRL and alot worse than the poorer players in SL, however, I've stopped watchin NRL over last few years, used to watch it on sky sports in the weekend mornings so might be a little out of date.

The whole tournament is set up all wrong though, 3 teams goin through in our group and 1 in the other, really weird format :S

Bring in Benny!!

The pool of players that Australia have is frightening. Take Scott Prince for example, he is 3rd choice scrum half behind Thurston and Cronk but yet he's still a class scrum half and he played great against England AND he would get into most Super League teams (We were linked with him before we got Dobson). The ruling that Australia have is that absoloutely NO players from anywhere other than the NRL can be picked for the national side. Trent Barrett, Matt Gidley, Matt King, Dobson e.t.c don't even come into the equation of selection because they have so many players to choose from before those lot. Gidley rips our league to parts too!

The NRL is played to a script and played perfectly so there isn't many surprises, it's rugby league to a tee but the super league throws up many surprises and therefore a much better spectacle and more entertaining for it's unpredictability. In terms of pace power strength and a winning mentality, the Aussie league is far better for it. They actually are better off for keeping young talent instead of poaching from other clubs because of the restrictions of the salary cap. Therefore they are nurtered developed to the best of their ability. England are way behind in developing strength in depth for the national league and if they succumb to a few injuries they are forced to call on rejects like Calderwood. Australia have had a lot of injuries leading up this tournament but replaced them with equal quality, it's this strength in depth which will keep them at the top for the forseeable future. For England to try and half get there they need to have a cap on the number of overseas players in the league (we are the worse for this) but teams other than Leeds/Saints need to bring up their youngsters because it just won't work having a national team which consists of mainly two teams squad players.

Thankyou and goodnight!

Well there is a slight cap on the amount of Aussie, and NZ players, but all european players don't come into it. I think your right though Ste, get rid of calderwood and bring in.....

PENNY!!!

Would be great to see him get battered by a few big aussies
