Yeah I've heard a lot about them, so would be interesting to see them first hand, need to win first though!

Would imagine that they the police are like they are on derby days- loads of them and absolutely no contact between fans...

Man City are looking like they will be worse than Chelsea with the spending and it really is going to ruin what has been known as the best league in the world if clubs are juts buying the league.

Yeah I've seen that as well, was pretty funny! Oh aye I'm sure he could, and even if I could have him, I probably wouldn't!

Anyway, I'm more concerned about Newcastle winning tonight at the moment! I'll start 'worrying' about Milwall if we win!

Meh

Wouldn't worry to much about these milwall fans then Tom.

Seriously though, Newcastle fans proved my point to the hill tonight, they will sing for 90 mins, but then when that final whistle goes, they show their true colours, by turning on the team they claim to be so loyal to. If I remember rightly, Newcastle fans never booed at the end of a match, they used to sing sarcastic chants, took it on the chin, and accepted it - cos what were they expecting. Whats changed since then? I have seen nothing to give you any hope that you should be challenging the top 6, or that your just under achieving.

Wouldn't mind but you actually bossed the game, if mickey had of stuck one of his chances away, would they be booing then? If he had of scored, it wouldn't have made the performance any beter or worse, but fans wouldn't have been booing then - its crazy, and sky keep telling us how loyal geordies are - hmmm.

As I said earlier in the week, people are quick to question Liverpool fans, but I can remember one occasion where there were boos at the end of a game. with you lot though Tom it seems to be every time you don't win at home these days that the fans suddenly turn

I have never, and will never boo liverpool. Booing is a virus spreading amongst fans nowadays, it makes me so angry! The second the team is doing well again, they are the first to cheer. I hope this craze is cut out quickly, cos it really does annoy me

YNWA actually means something to me ;-)

If that was a league game, there would have been no boo's. A cup game, tickets are a fiver, that's when you get all the people going along who think they're fans and know everything about the club when really they know just about nothing.

There was a guy behind me who I've never seen there before balling and screaming on at the team talking the biggest load of crap I've ever seen, and at the end, yes there were boo's, but every regular in the area I sit in just got up and left, and a couple clapped, it was the rest who booed.

And I think a lot of the frustration was aimed at Kinnear, it's no wonder he was out of work for so long. We go 1-0 down, so he took our most attacking minded player (Jonas) off for an unproven youngster (LuaLua). We played defensive most the match, and we didn't boss it, it was a crap game where both teams were trying long balls and neither were succeeding, just a shame Michael Owen can't show why he thinks he's worthy of leaving to a better club.

Every time we don't win we boo? Is that why when we got beaten 5-1 off Liverpool, we still outsang what many claim to be the "Best fans in the world" when they were 5-1 up and top of the league? Then despite a terrible performance, did we boo at the end? No. I can remember three occasions this season when there has been large amounts of booing after a game- Spurs in the league cup (Cup game as I explained) and the two Hull games (One being a cup game).

The other was the game after Keegan had left thanks to Ashley & Co. then the players put in a terrible performance despite them all coming out saying they've got to concentrate on three points and will give it their all and all that rubbish.

A few years ago I often thought Warrington Wolves fans were brilliant. We have around 10,000 attendance, and despite what lol says () we do actually sing loudly - usually making more noise at a better rate than a normal liverpool match.

But would I say that Warrington Wolves fans are better than Liverpool?

Newcastle fans, yeah they will sing for 90 mins, but surely if chearing your team means that much, then a second later you wouldn't be booing.

I also have a theory about this singing at 5-1 down, it hurts less. And if edgar doesn't score on HT thered have been bood at HT

I have been n this situation at Warrington games. We got hammered 52-6 by Leeds. Our kids were playing. We sang the same song at full pelt for (and am not messing now) a whole half, same song, no stopping for 40 mins and at least an hour after the match. (it made it onto the national tabloids) If the match was really close there wouldn't have been the same noise, but it would have meant more

Now as I have said, it is one thing to sing, but it is another to support.

definition of support - back: be behind; approve of. - doesn't mention booing there.

Newcastle fans are the best conditional supporters in the prem, poor Joe kinnear can never replace "king kev" cos he was untouchable. fergie couldnt. Newcaslte and their fans need to move on. King Kev was appointed by Ashley to soften you lot up!

There are exceptions to the rule of course.

everyone should leave booing to panto

People booing does not help your club during a bad performance because you need to think of the players it will lower their self esteem and you wont be getting a better performnce out of them next game just clap them offcheer them on leave the screaming and shouting to the manager

Made a double post so i'll just put soemthin else here.

Not long ago, just after Keegan left, you could feel the tension, and touching on si's point there, it can't have helped the players, every failed pass, every poor bif of control was met with frustration from the fans. That cannot help.

Like what Arsenal fans did to Eboue.

It wasn't at all like what what Arsenal did to Eboue... Did some 'fans' pick a player out and boo him? Players being paid such big wages should be able to make the right decisions, make simple passes etc. So when they don't, then it's fair enough to let off a bit of frustration, but only a little shout, not be on their back the whole time.

It is also slightly hypocritical to boo as well, its like me telling Hamilton how to drive.

No it's not, I'm not condoning booing the players, but critisizing and shouting at them isn't hypocritical at all.

They get paid tens of thousands of pounds a week, some even hundreds, so they should be able to do their job well. The fans don't get paid to play football, they pay the people who do, so how is it hypocritical when they boo the players? They're paid so much to do their job they should do their job well.

In a way they get it easy when they do bad performances... If you performed badly at your job most the time, only doing well every now and then then you'd most probably get sacked, especially if you did your job as badly as some footballers do. But do they get sacked? No. The closest thing they come to that is being critisized by the fans.

Tom, surely you know enough about football to know that if they perform badly they get moved on.

And footballers get paid only a samll % of the money football attracts, except of course if Kaka was to go to city for that stupid fee.

Now about this money nonsense. It's not some sort of freak show, where players get paid to be roundly criticised.

Now back onto my original point, how can Newcastle fans be any good, when they take pleasure in caning the team?

What am trying to say is, that if supporters such as Newcastle fans (who are (or were) one of the most loyal) start booing players, then there must be a problem with the whole of the country doing it. (and i blame setanta and bravo for broadcasting italian football - lets hope we don't start whistling next :S)

To me you take the rough with the smoothe. I just went on a newcastle fc fans website thingy, and they are actually saying pretty much the same as me, to all those deluded fans asking for kinnear to be sacked, and for Keegan/shearer/ant/dec/ant and dec to be put in charge.

P.S well done to our kids on beating Bristol Rovers 4-2 on pens to progress to the FA youth 4th round Vs Chelsea. Bristol have actually got some decent young talent.

And have I said that Kinnear should be sacked and that I want Keegan or Shearer in? I would have prefered it with Keegan still being here having never left, but that's not the case and now we're stuck with one of the only people that would be stupid enough to take the job.

I've said that many times before, that the people who get their views in the public are the ones who think they represent the fans, but really know very little. Saying we're a big club who will be in Europe next season, saying that KK will come back.

Oh and Mike, you think Newcastle 'fans' take pleasure when booing the team? If they took pleasure in being able to do that they'd be at the Stadium of Light, not St. James's Park.

Yh Tom shh your just rubbish move on Lyle likes the stadium of light atmosphere

Rafas contract talks have stalled basically he wants Rick Parry out as he is a bit of a liabilty, which is largely true, takes him to long to sort out transfers (although he managed to sign Torres in about an hour).

Hope it gets sorted anyway.

Ha, got to hate Utd! Every time, these 1-0 wins in the 90th min mean one simple thing.

Record equalling 18th title.
