He really does make me cry.
How he could play for the most succesful team in England shows me just how far we are away.
Rafa hasn't learnt and I hate saying it, but taking of Torres for Riera was a poor move, then when they equalise he finally brings on Keane - and takes off gerrard!!!
Our bench was stronger than the first team, besides the keeper and Dossena. Keane, Riera, Alonso, Agger. They should have all been on.
But Rafa has to tinker all the time, yes we are the fittest team come the end of the year, but its to late then, we are out of everything. I never say a bad word about Raf, or very rarely, but instead of moaning at opposition managers, he needs to look in house, and give some of these players a reality check, and boot out the dead wood.
Top 4 will do me, cmon everton, hold Arsenal for us
Top 4 will do me, and that is no certainty. Cmon Everton keep arsenal out!!!

Rafa really annoys me sometimes, the substitutions tonight were ridiculous, were winning doesn't mean we need to sit on it, which effectively is what he did bringing riera on!
And as for lucas, I wouldn't want him playing for my saturday team!
Ooo theres a goal for arsenal one more team to catch us up

N'Zogbia is pathetic, another one in his long line of stupid little whinges, really is pathetic.
Glad we got Kevin Nolan, might be similar to Alan Smith, but he's got to be better than Nicky Butt!
Not confident at all about tomorow

Same
Your lil derby is just a side show for the match of the weekend
And well done Stoke on giving us a masterclass on how to park a bus at home - Bolton could learn alot from them.

To be fair, in the context of being down to 10 men and having a 1-0 lead, you're not exactly going to be going to try and get a second are you? Just keep it tight and maybe get a goal on the break, but the main aim will be to keep them out. Especially with Stoke who are battling around the bottom, they get a lead so will try to defend it out in most cases, never mind when they're a man down against a team with the likes of Robinho and SWP in!
On the match tomorow, what a match for Big Fat Mike Ashley to pick to return to SJP. A very small part of me half wants us to lose, as it will probably end up with Mike Ashley being seriously worried for his safety, but a win would be much more welcome!
On another note... Arsenal sign Messi!

It was a compliment
Not many teams have the nerve to do it at home.
Liverpool do it as well then have a go at everyone else. The only difference is we go 1-0 up then do it, and concede regardless. It will be 1-1 tomorow I think, and i bet you if it is, we take the lead, try to hold on to it, and ultimately fail.

Very good result and a very good performance as well.
Sky can bleat all they want about the red card, Lampard broke Alonsos leg a few years ago and didn't even get a yellow card. If Chelsea want to try and get the decision recinded, fine, they can miss bosingwa for 3 games instead for his cowardly "tackle" on Yossi.
As for the match the best team won by far, Chelsea created nothing, with and without 11 men. We were camped in their half all match, and Chelsea just played like every other small club that has played at Anfield - defensive and negative. Liverpool could have won by far more - despite what Andy Gray says. The mans a joke.
Only downside was gerrard diving - arghhh I hate it so much, stop!!!
Title challenge is back on track, we needed to win just to give us a cusion on villa, but now we are at uniteds heals, we need to win at Old Trafford and if we can it is back on.
firstly though, bring on Everton!

The ref spoilt the game..
Gerrard made exactly the same tackle about 2 minutes earlier and never even got a talking to, and to say that the card was deserved because he nearly broke his leg years ago is ridiculous.

Well if you know nothing about football and take sky's view on everything, then I agree with you.
And they have previous, Lampard has handled breaking Alonsos ankle very badly. He was basically laughing about it in the papers yesterday. That must have had an impact on the match.
The ref spoilt it from an everton point of view, as they want to see liverpool fail.
Don't be so bitter. Admit we were the better team.

Well if I were to be told it was going to be 1-1 before the game I would have taken that, but then again when you say that there is always an element thinking that we could have won!
They were a bit better than us in the first half and on the whole deserved to go in 1-0 up (Despite what Danny Collins said on the radio after, saying they were unlucky not to go in 1 or 2 up?!). But in the second half we were a lot better than them, more so than they were better than us in the first half so in that case we would have won.
However, we never looked like scoring except from a set piece, the crossing was woeful and Ameobi was useless. Apparently shouldn't have even been a penalty, but I'm not complaining! The amount that has gone against us this season there should still be plenty to come if the whole roundabouts thing is true!
When Ameobi stepped up to take it everyone groaned and started shouting asking why. I didn't even look, I turned around and looked up at the Sunderland fans when he was walking to the penalty spot with the ball and only turned back to just see it going in.
On an individual player note, Bassong is absolutely class! Incredible find, just hope we can keep him with us!

It wernt a pen Webb got himself in a crap position to give it. But I agree with you.
Here is what fatty said about Alonso before kick off.
There is always something between me and Xabi Alonso, for instance.’
'But you broke his leg', replied Samuel. (reporter)
‘Yes, I know, and it was a foul and I got booked, so I am not trying to plead innocence, but it was a tap, it wasn’t anything nasty; the sort of tackle that happens all the time, both ways.
'That night, when I heard how it had worked out, I felt very bad and phoned to apologise but he wouldn’t really have it and ever since he has that look in his eye when we meet, and there is always a bit of jostling and shoving.'
So forgive me for not not feeling sorry for the poor mans gerrard.

Omg so ur saying that lampards red was justified by the reason that he broke his ankle years ago? get a grip
The ref was obviously another one of 'gerrards mates', plus i never disputed the fact that you were the better team the red card just killed the game off
oh well aye, no one ever gets anything at analfield.

Ok mate don't cry - or feel the need to use abusive language.
Your just showing your bitterness.
What I am trying to get into your slightly slow head is that before kick off lampard was already spouting off abuse at Alonso, saying that there was an edge between them. Your telling me Mike Riley wouldn't have been aware of their previous before kick off??????
To me, if Alonso didn't go in so full hearted, then it could of petentially injured him again.
Chelsea have had enough out of us over the years in regards of decisions.
I know what your problem is though, Liverpool are threatening to win something this year, which everton fans would hate. (although apparently you don't care what we say - oh the irony) Face it, evertons season is classed as a success or failure depending on if we win anything or not.
Anybody who watched the game live or on MOTD will say that liverpool deserved to win.
Edit: Whats it like down in 6th?

These forums would be lost without you Mike.
Liverpool did deserve to win, Chelsea we're poor! Chelsea are finished with i think their squad is about an avarage of about 28 thats not good enough i think, nearly all their players are hitting the 30 mark or even at 30! Chelsea need to spend big again like their first season with the new owner. Man utd will win the title, they have the luck with them and the referee's. Liverpool have a great chance to upset them they just need to hit form until they go to old trafford, now if they win there, I'd say Liverpool have a superb chance of winning the title. Arsenal, they have a really up hill task to finish 4th! I think they need a change at that club, maybe a new manager? He is a top manager don't get me wrong but they need a change somewhere! The title is too much oof a challenge for them at the moment so maybe they will get a bit of excitment out of battling for 4th.
Aston villa's title ambitions hit the wall against Wigan, that was a must win game but unfortunatly they failed to brake down a good Wigan side, 4th is a really good possibility, good luck. If they do qualify for the champions league they certainly won't be any pushovers.
Everton, we deserve a huge amount of credit for the way we have gone about things this season, we have had a injury hit season and still continued to battle our way to 6th place. Te credit has to go to Moyes, he is a top manager and obviously has a great effect on the dressing room.

He might just be the man to replace Ferguson at old trafford! He would be a god there.
On the game on Wednesday night, this will be a great occasion for the city and the two clubs. I fancy it going all the way to penalties myself. Good luck blue boys.
