He has certainly spent big at spurs. The harshest thing i've heard Harry say was his criticism of his now ex-captain Ledley King, he suffers really bad from injuries and it must really eat away at him, and Harry criticises him, then offers Keane the captaincy to lure him away from Liverpool. That and a hige wage no doubt.
I do like him, he has been reasonably succesful, but to put him above Benitez... hmmmmm, and I'm not even Benitez biggest fan (anymore), I would certainly prefer at least 10 other managers above him.

Yes, we have to cut out the mistakes. Jamo's been very rarely at fault for mistakes since he has come to Pompey so I have confidence in him. Distin's still got decent pace but his mistakes have cost us points recently. I think it's a confidence problem with him, and as a team on the whole. Had we had the correct mentality we would have won the game from being 2-1 up at 80 mins regardless of Torres.
We didn't play Crouch as a lone striker, but why don't you think Crouch can play there? True, he's not got pace but neither has Kevin Davies who's one of the best lone strikers there is.
Nugent may yet cut it in the premiership - this is his first real run of games and he's got 3 goals in 3. His work-rate can't be faulted either.
Luckily there's a lot of other teams still in the mix. The upcoming games against our close rivals will define our season.

Nick I felt sorry for pompey, they are not to good to go down at all. They have experienced players making mistake after mistake, and with James in net, mistakes are never to far down the line. Campell and Distin are slow, but even are making mistakes that Titis Bramble would make with long balls etc... crouchy is not a lone striker and Nugent isn't good enough.

Pompey are in free fall to me, I expect the bottom 3 to consist of bromidge, stoke abd pompey.

I think you have enough home games to avoid relegation, as you said most of them are against you're closest rivals. You are in debt at the moment but get this season out the way and build another great team the way Harry did. Would be a shame to see Portsmouth go down as i like the club and the fans, the fans show a perfect example on how to support you're football club!
You could easily put a run of games together and finish 8th-9th the way the table is at the moment. But ill stick to my guns "Pompey are too good to go down"
Newcastle v's Everton next, whats you're prediction Tom?

I know Nugent was supporting Crouchy yesterday, but I still don't think he is up to it, but Adams knows Crouch isn't a lone striker. That is because with Crouch, he is a good out man, but isn't particulay quick, or have the heading ability of Davies. Crouchy controls it, and lays it off, which is why he was eventially sold as he wouldn't fit our 1 man up front formation (nor did Keane).
So basically, Pompey have little choice but to play Nugent.
I'm a massive fan of Crouchy, he doesn't get the respect he deserves, plus he is just an all round legend. He didn't have the best of games yesterday but still set Nugent up for his goal.
Adams IMO just isn't ready for management, he quit his first management role at Wycombe (I think...) so how he is ready for a premiership team I don't know. He was a class defender in his time, so as to why these defensive mistakes are happening, I don't know.
I said to my Mum fter about 80 mins that Pompey were defensively frail, and that we still had a chance. Liverpool have come back from behind to win 3-2 3 times now, and this was the first time I felt we would.
Pompey aren't to good to go down, the players brought in to me are not the players needed for a relegation battle. I expected players like Nigel Quashie who have experienced it all before to come in, not Greeks who need time to adapt, time which pompey do not have. Stoke have bought well in the transfer window, Etherington was a great bit if business and beatie and camera

It bugs me about the mentality of Middlesbrough football club. They have an air of 'resigning to their fate', it's showed in the transfer activity (one Marlon King - he's just a pratt). Southgate, I'm sure he just wants to build a team again in the championship, they don't have the fighting spirit in them and I'm sure there going down.
It'd be a shame if a club like Portsmouth, Stoke or Hull get relegated. They actually do offer more than Boro', do Middlesbrough even look like they want to be there?
Ste - Yes Everton did play well, but you would expect nothing less - being at home against Bolton! 2 Penalties did help! Jagielka fully deserves his call up though.
I'm disappointed (after looking back at the game) that we didn't take all three points, as both us and Chelsea did have chances albeit ours being more 'clear-cut'. Hull vs Spurs next week - huge game!

Boro could take Stokes/Pompeys place for relegation, although they did do OK against city, the difference was just Shay Given.
They should of sold Downing and spent with that up front.
Marlon King is just TROUBLE
Everton will beat newcastle, and Spurs will draw with Hull me thinks.
ANyway, FA cup next week so a nice rest for Torres

We would of beat them 3-0 anyways without the penalties!!
Jagielka has got to play at least a part tomorrow, be funny watching him in action again against Torres. Hopefully Copello has that in mind, I'd personally start Jag from the start.
"lol" be happy with a point!
Mike, Liverpool and Aston villa are the luckiest sides in the league!
Boro will definitely get relegated they are a really poor side.

Lucky?? And you say I'm biassed.
Everton were lucky to beat us in the week if your going to use that logic, 2 deflections and in off the post in the 118th minute. I happen to think you deserved it though so said nothing.
Sometimes you get lucky so often, that it can't be luck.
If you look at it though, we had3 amazing finishes last night, everyone was a half chance.

Good result for Newcastle at the weekend, didn't expect a 3-1 scoreline. Without the manager as well wasn't it? What does that tell you.....

Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry is in the running to succeed Brian Barwick as the FA's chief executive.
LMAO i'm telling you now that bloke is hopeless, they can have him, Rafa and Hicks have been trying to get rid of him for years.
