Look i don't mean to be a pain and also argue back, but i have been around roughly 2 years now and yeah i have got bored of it before, but there is alot more competition now IMO. I'm not going to get into an arguement here lol but IMO it hasn't lost it's appeal, and i respect my own opinion and others so if you think its lost it's appeal so be it, No one can tell you how or how not to feel about stuff

All i'm saying mike and mike funkysnooker is changing all the time, things come and things go, boredem comes and boredem goes, It's life, i respect you have both been moderators on this game before and i respect you guys alot but IMO i don't think it's lost it's appeal, soon there will be someone that will top the ranks and we're all be back trying to catch him/her and the appeal for "some" users will be back.

Your not getting it at all mate. You are only talking about stats by saying 'rank'. Why would we be trying to catch someone new that tops the ranks when pepsi is already there to be caught? Stats are not everything to most people. What gio_goi and the rest are saying its the game in general that has lost its appeal. I myself rarely have that old urge to get onto funky once I found myself sitting infront of the computer. I have been on funky for around two and a half years now and for them first two years I absoloutely loved the game. The past 6 months however I have fell in and out of love with the game (more so out of it at the moment). Cant put my finger on what the actual problem is..could well be personal but I highly doubt it since so many other players are feeling the same way. Admin have done a great job and are still doing a great job, but to keep its older, perhaps more loyal members I think something fresh needs to be introduced without damaging the game how it is right now for the newer users. Scotch doubles and 15 red arcade is the way forward in my opinion...

Agreed. And i'm not just talking about rank, there are achievements you can get without playing 1 ranked game thought, 1 of them only 3 people on the history of this game has achieved

Ok i aint got a 147 on orig, never will have. Reason why? i dont play it like i do arcade. And to be honest, not blowing my own trumpet (as damee said) i've done alot on arcade (34 107's, been top of rankings, top ten highest rank, 90 tournament wins, over 150 cents, 2400+ half century's!)

Dont get me wrong mate, is there any more i can do!?

Also i think what the lads are trying to say is the game is "repeatitive" whether it be arcade or orig or both for instance. We have done alot, achieved alot, and now it seems we're sat back waiting for the next challenge.

I can see where your coming from, i dunno maybe just me i don't feel it's losing it but then again i've never been a "BIG" player so it's still new trying to achieve these even after being on here since 2006

another thing is that we're focussing on one point raised in the thread, the other point is that neww games would be nice to freshen things up, look at pool, just recently given straight pool. Is it any wonder that pool is the most popular site.

Still having said that, i'm not bored of the game atm.

And thats the reason why you think the "appeal" has'nt been lost (still got targets to go for and achieve) where as we have already achieved them there for the appeal has been lost.

At the moment I feel like the 'bigger' players are sitting back and cant achieve much more whilst everyone else catches up (which I think they are). Feels like the game is being restricted a bit. As long as ste plays no-one is ever going to go ahead of him on cents and same with ragefire but for halfs. So as with the_kop, I would easily welcome another game type (15 red arcade.cough) , just to get everyone on the same stats and then lets see how fun it becomes.

I agree with most that's being said, a great thread fair play. I've felt like this for a very long time, the game doesn't have that spark that I used to see in it. To be honest, if I hadn't been promoted to a moderator I was thinking of deactivating. These days I come on for the "community" rather than the game which I think is true for many people.

Now I don't consider my self to be a "great", I'm one of those people which don't quite make the mark. A 'wanna be' if you want. And I'm quite satisfied with what I've achieved and quite proud as well. For example, potting my 400th half century tonight was a great feeling. However, something's missing and I don't quite know what. Getting rid of arcade snooker and origanal is definately a no go area. Those are the two games that keep the site 'appropiate', hence "Funkysnooker". Killer and Carom are two great games. That is, for the first couple of times. No one understands Carom for a start, so if a game were to be replaced, Carom would have to be the one. I love the idea of a 15 red 'arcade' snooker game and that is what I think the game needs.

I agree with everyone who is saying its losing appeal. I personally have just given up with the game because I've gotten so bored. I as well, think some new games need to be added, Carom is a good game IMO, just nobody plays it, so I don't either, if noone plays it, why not remove? Killer, I thought, was just awful from the start, and its not really a snooker themed game - so why not replace them?
Also, I'm sick of seeing pool getting these new games. Do they really need them? I've seen nobody complaining. Yet on snooker, people have been complaining since the time I started this game. However, nothing GOOD (in my opinion) has been done about it.

Please Nick, listen to us this time and give us something we actually want, for example doubles or 15 red arcade.
