Very well said mike. No ones being negative, more like constructive. We are only tryin to provide thoughts for the game, not criticise. But then again just typing this here makes me think why its getting repetitive, as our opinions fall on deaf ears.

But nobody is leaving, all those who have said they will are posting here on an even more regular basis
Lets put it a simpler way - how can potting 5 more balls on an identical table make any difference to the game?
If you find arcead too easy, then you can easily move on to original.
Surely for the top players who no longer find that a challenge, moving back to pot a few more balls on arcade is going to mean a step back rather than forwards.
Lets not forget the beauty of Carom - there is no maximum break. So since it was introduced it is impossible to say there are no more achievements to reach.

Good point, I'd love to know nicks views on all that has been said on this thread and offer some solutions.

As Youngjeezy said, noone seems to be listening to our ideas. PLEASE, just give 15 red arcade a chance! Funkysnooker only seems to be getting what Nick wants, and a few ideas have obviously been implemented, but not enough.
Yes, but Spinner, funnily enough, noone seems to play that game anymore .

But carom is too complicated, same as with orig, there is a pattern here, the more complicated the game, the less people that play, 15 red arcade and scotch doubles are not complicated, yet offer a difference, i'm sure if you got the 1st 147 on 15 red arcade, you would see the beaty in it. It at least deserves a look at.

Would just like to ask who said they were leaving? From what I understand everyone has been saying they want to stay on this site?
Anyway..I too would love to see Nicks opinion on this thread, if he considers it be important enough.

I find this very strange considering the vast amounts of improvements that have taken place recently and the amount of feedback Nick has taken on board during the developments.
It doesnt seem that long ago that people were asking for Automated Tournaments, the ability to play on when an opponent left, offline messaging, Killer, Billiards etc etc.
The ears may be deaf, but the eyes saw it all..

Nobody has said they are going to leave, the only mention of leaving is when starting games people wanting leave due to boredom. As for carom, its a billiards game, not snooker. And killer is a pool game so why are they on site?
Now don't get me wrong I know there are people who play them and very much like them but its the minority not the majority.
Is this not the same on the in gameplay ? Surely having the majority happy is better.

Basically we would prefer 10,000 happy users than 1,000 disgruntled users being assaulted with pop-ups and spam email (even if the 1,000 generated more cash).
Is this not the same on the in gameplay ? Surely having the majority happy is better.

I still, however, remember more people voting for 15 red arcade and we were never given the chance, instead, the lowly voted killer and carom were implemented. Whats the fairness in that?

See what i have a problem about, is that people are saying there is nothing left to do, there are lots to do
1) reach a 147 if you haven't already
2) reach professional on carom if you haven't already
3) get a 107 if you haven't already
4) win tournaments on both game types if you haven't already
5) reach professional or even virtuoso on killer.
These are just a few, just because you have mastered a skill on one game type why not try to master the other one?
Carom ain't too popular but if more people give it a go then i believe it could as Lyle aka sean_paul said, carom is a great game just no one plays it.

I agree Spinner, we ran with arcade and orig for nigh on 3 years.
Recently the addition of carom and killer should have reinvigorated member who have lost their interest. If these didnt float your boat, then what makes you sure that 15 ball arcade will?
As I mentioned before, people change, we are all influenced by different things pulling us in all directions. What Im saying is that maybe funkysnooker hasnt lost its appeal, maybe you have lost your appeal with funkysnooker, which is perfectly natural.

I havent got a problem with you mate, but you have once again just changed the whole flow in this thread. We have moved on from talking about things there are still to achieve.

There is no such thing as perfect and everything can be improved.
I think the oft discussed itermediate table would be the best option, with slightly smaller pockets than arcade, and scaled about halfway between the two existing tables.
Reasons for this are that there simply wont be much room on an arcade table with 15 reds at a current scale, and most importantly, the existing arcade game is the most popular on the site, so should be left as it is for new players who are signing up all the time.

Couldn't agree more Gio. Like I said earlier, more people voted for 15 red arcade and it wasn't implemented. Isn't this the time?

Losing its appeal? - what improvements would help?
