Hi, remember the Win Percentages Calculator ( http://www.funkysnooker.com/viewTopic.do?topicid=4264 )?
It became unecessary due to Nick's changes to the percentages display, but madmiketyson suggested that it would be useful to be able to calculate ranking changes.
Well here it is (at last)!
Sorry for such a long delay, but I had a catasropic hard drive failure and lost virtually everything half way through!
(I know I should have gone to that lecture, all those years ago at university, - "The importance of making Regular Backups" but was playing Snooker in the Student Union instead )
The executable is available here:
http://www.daveehughes.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Downloads/FunkySnookerRankingCalculator.exe
A FunkyPool version is available here:
http://www.daveehughes.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Downloads/FunkyPoolRankingCalculator.exe
Or if you prefer, a Zip Archive containing both versions is available here:
http://www.daveehughes.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Downloads/FunkyRankingCalculators.zip
If you like it, feel free to use, copy, share, delete, wrap up as a Christmas present, etc.
If you don't like it, don't bother.
Hope you enjoy it!
Edit: By the way, seeing as I don't have an account on FunkyPool at the moment, I would appreciate it if some freindly Pooler could post this over ther for me - cheers

Does it also take into account the second win, after the deduction/addition has taken place... so obviously you would gain less points on the second win than the first?
just wondering, as I currently can't download anything on this comp.

Thanks for that - one of the questions asked was what are the file sizes and how long to download over broadband. If anybody is wondering, the answers are:
FunkySnooker - 156kb
FunkyPool - 140kb
Zip File - 90.4kb
So no time at all over Broadband
Absolutely - in fact it is interesting the difference the win/lose order can make even though the final result is the same. For instance if the final result is 1-2 (say), it is better for your rank if the game you win is the last one and not the first

even if it is safe its always nice to include a virus scan /malware scan for things your asking people to download off your site.. its clean tho according to malwarebytes

Because I am a complete wimp, or more probably because eventually someone else is gonna ask to do their bit to protect the FP community, can someone from mod level up confirm that these executables are safe?

Not really, because winning or losing any frame has a different and immediate impact on your rank and your opponent's, so in the second frame the supposed skill difference between the players is not the same anymore.
For example, having won the first frame raises your rank, so the game supposes you are more skilled than 1 frame earlier.
I think all this is very logical in a real-time outlook.
By the way, great stuff buddytobud! I'm sure your work will be greatly appreciated by the whole funky community!
