I think Harry Redknapp is an appauling manager personally. People say look what happens to teams when he leaves... but thats why he is a poor manager, he uses all their resources and then leaves them when they are skint.
Tottenham might win a cup with him or finish in top 6 but he will get bored again, then they will be fighting a relegation battle with no hope.
Just look what happened to West Ham, Southampton and Pompey.

Completely almost off topic, but I had a dream last night that I saw Harry Redknapp in the middle of the town where I live and he knew my name. No reason to tell you just I only remembered about it 'cause of you two talking about him!
I do think he's a decent manager though.
Was good to see Owen miss another chance though!

Can't beleive what I read in the papers today, apparently Rafa has 2 million to spend in the rest of the transfer window!!!!!
We've just sold Alonso for 30 million!!!!!! and Arbeloa for 3-4 million. Spent 17 on Johnson (or 10mill but cnacelled our final payment for crouch!) and 15 million for Aquilaini (5 million this year, 5 the next and another 5 if he is still here in 3 years time)
So basically 18 million pounds we have spent this summer counting all the kids he brings in each year, and recouped 30 million
Thats 18 million £ we should have to spend plus any money they set aside for the kitty. But no, we get 2 million to spend now on a defender and a second striker.
In this transfer marker I think I'm worth 1 million.
Unbelievable.

I don't care about the financial stuff that they got themselves in. Thats their problem, if they can't fund Liverpool with more than 2 million then they have no business owning the club. All they are doing is halting progress.
The greedy swines have kept the money for themselves, lets not kid ourselves, they are still very much billionaires. The credit crunch isn't exactly effecting George Gillette, people still need to shave.

its not quite as simple as selling razors
i dont know the ins and outs of his finances but im certain the credit crunch hit him. his company lost millions in value i would imagine for a start.
but this is about football not the economy

His business is all about selling razors. I've bought no less this past year than I did the previous. His business is not one prone to external influences, people need to shave poor or not, granted some might go for the cheaper option, but not really.
Hes just a mercenery, hes a billionaire, and can't dish out any money! And he has a partner!!
This is not forgetting the 12million we got for Keane either

a person being a billionaire doesnt mean he has billions in his bank account! it means he has a net worth of billions! his company/ companies and his property etc all added together.
and even his company lost value when the stock markets plummeted.
and if he had all this money he wouldnt have had to get loans would he?

He is a billionaire at the end of the day... he has more than 2.5 million in his bank account.
Why take over a huge club and not give the manager anything to spend?
:S
We've just bought/buying a new greek defender who is a pile of crap, seen him play for Rangers, he is useless
But what do you expect if he is given 2.5 mill ... pfft.
BTW, Gillette doesn't own "Gilette" just found out he earnt his "fortune" through meat production.
I did business studies deco, I know what a billionaire is, when did I say he has billions in his bank? He has many many millions, and a partner to boot. Its just greed, he wants to spend as little as possible and win trophies to make the club more valuable. It is never gonna happen.
If vorinin is gonna be our 2nd striker, then I despair.
Prepare for a backlash tonight though, the fans are gonna protest, I can see it now. Still singing songs aint gonna do owt, need to either boycott the stadium, or merchandise to get the message across.
I'm doing my bit by boycotting the stadium, have done for almost a year now

that line suggests he has more money than he is willing to give
why would he need loans if he had the money?

Peter Coates sold all of his bookmakers to a company called 'Coral' and he invested that into Stoke thats what true owners should be doing not just in it to make a penny

I'd snap someone's hand off to get 2.5 million for Newcastle to spend. You think you've got it bad, we're selling most our players (Off which we'll have made around £30million) but we're not seeing anything back. All we've got is a loan signing.
I know Ashley's not going to put any more money into it, but what about the money we're getting from players? They need replacing and the squad needs rebuilding, yet simply for himself he's pocketing the money the club is making and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

newcastle in theory should be ina totally different financial position to liverpool anyhow. of course youd snap someone's hand off for 2.5 mill....liverpool should have more, much more than newcastle this year. eventhough we have spent more than that lol,we have sold as well and are getting no more backing which is a joke.as like most americans they are all talk!
