Agree about the Carling cup mate, also see where your coming from with the league cup stats, but when we were winning them they meant something (of course never as good as Fa cup still) but now its just reserves basically an embarassment to the trophy itself.

The league cup will only become important again when managers play full strength squads, but none seem willing so its all a bit of a farce and a far cry from when Liverpool used to win the League cup on a regular basis in the 70s and 80s.

About the draw, was well nervous when we drew the US 1st game, but then 2 easy countries with it, also France not being seeded meant they would have to play a seeded opponent, they got South Africa, the whole thing scremed fix.

I had work for 5, Once again i miss the match (missed the derby last week!!!) .. but anyways i ordered a taxi to work because i wanted to watch the first half so much so i booked it for 4:45 (cost me 9 quid!!)...good half yet it was 0-0, i get into work an it has 4 goals and a missed penalty lol Typical! ... Ill get up at 9 in the morning and watch the repeat with x factor as well :D! Happy with the result, you have to be :) wer are the smiley's :S?
