Beattie would be a bad buy for Liverpool, but honestly getintrested in TUncay he has got an unberlievable amount to give and his talent will be endless if he had a great quality of players to thread him through and look after him

we need something, It just shows we do actually miss alonso, I honestly didnt think we would. I knew he was top player but because we dont have him, we play two defensive mids. Its great if you want to control the game, but it doesn't give us much in going forward. To go one pass forward we seem to make 5 passe's back

We dominated arsenal in the sunday game, but we just didnt do anything with the ball.

Saying that, I have always seen Tuncay as a Benayoun. Quite similar style. Having two similar players on the pitch may not work. I'm not sure though, i'm not the manager

Lets see what happens in Jan, probably not a lot tbh.

mick mccarthy is in the doghouse for putting out a reserve team, with only 41 premiership appearances between them, against man utd.

"we want our money back"
"we didnt pay 40 quid to see the reserves"
"wheres the first team"

haha nice chants by the fans

It was the typical actions of Mick Mcarthy. A born loser. Good of him to give his old pal 3 points without a fight. I look forward to playing that team as well... oh wait no, he only gives 3 points to Sir Alex.

Burnley showed the way last night, and I hope they batter wolves at weekend.

3-0 away to united who can complain? Theres bigger games he needs all of his players fit for this season, wolves fansshut up and go suck a dummy or something!

Its not good enought to hand United 3 points, when he plays his full team against every other team, effectively the rest of the prem started off on -3 points, when Wolves feild their full strength team again it is cheating, and yes it is cheating, it breaks premier league rules.

Of course when we play Hull last day of the season and decide to rest all of our players, which might send Wolves down, am sure the fake Irishman will take that in his stride also.

It is typical of the fergie obsessed league we play in, and the loser mentality Mick Mcarthy has carried throughout his footballing and managerial career.

42£ to watch the reserves, I'd complain as well, as would anybody.

You say it like wolves would of got a point out of the game?

Also show me the rule where it says 'All teams must play their first team against Manchester United'

All everybody is asuming he tried to throw the game away, when really you need your strong first team to play the teams you have any aspect of doing.

Lets wait and see what he does for the rest of the season on his away games, he might of hada very good reason behind his method.

Also like Phil said if they had won everybody will be saying he's amazing and there's nuthing better

See this is the problem, you are focussing on United, it has nothing to do with United, other than this is the team Wolves chose to start the second XI against.

Rule 20 Section E "In every League Match each participating Club shall field a full strength team".

It makes it worse that for the next game he will go back to full strength, as I said, makes it an uneven playing field, it would be the same if he did it against Bolton, Liverpool or Stoke. It is breaking Premier League rules, the conditions he agrees to when he chooses to manage in the premier league.

If he doesn't like playing United, then simple, stay in the championship, much rather Newcastle be in the prem than these, I disike Newcastle, but can't imagine them ever squandering 3 points, lets not fool ourselves thats exactly what Mick did, lost before the team took the field.

Near impossible to prove that they weren't simply rotating their squad, giving players time to recover from injuries and resting players ahead of more important games. The big clubs do it, so the smaller clubs can too.

I wonder what "full-strength" actually means. It's ambiguous. Also Man U played an understrength side against Burnley and lost. Not 10 changes, admittedly, but it's essentially the same principle but with different numbers.
