Oh, earlier i was playing in a tournament game. Was in the early rounds. I had the break off shot and i potted a red from it, then potted the black the next shot. I thought i'd try and see if i could go for a 107 (like you do).

Anyways My opponent left, I laughed.

its not fair at all,

for some reason im playing for my best break and everytime its in a tourney my opponents walk out,

it wrecks the game and it wrecks the tournaments

but most importantly it wrecks are stats its a disgrace that you can have no power over such an outcome,

you want a family site yet you leave such an outragous possibillity ( loser chooses to cancel the break cos they cant take watching ) all that happens is people start getting abusive and swearing at opponents for leaving,

so really its up to funky snooker, change this rule or have more abuse on the site.

It is pretty poor to be honest. This should have been sorted out a year ago.

Am sick of all the threads about it, so it would solve two problems.

with the greatest respect revenge youve been away for a year or however long.

i play prob more than anyone on the site and see it more and more every day people actually getting a kick out of being harsh,

and lets be honest im highlighting very very important facts,

some of the swearing and stuff that goes on in the members bar because of this is prob making mods lifes harder aswell,

The biggest plus would be the loss of alot of bad language on the site.

Remember revenge has been around for a while! Back when your break ended with an opponent leaving regardless of whether it be a friendly/ranked/tourny game so i'm fairly sure he's aware of how frustrating it can be and how it riles people up!

I remember there being countless threads on the subject way back then and it did eventually get sorted and it's the system we have today. I agree though completely with the point brought up, it needs to be brought in for tourny games as well. Surely it's only a matter of time?

Its pretty clear that there is a problem. Its just the way it comes out that seems a bit forced.

By that i mean you want it done now that second, you probably don't mean it like that and your just fustrated

Yeah i have been gone a while..but i'm getting back into the swing of things again

i haven't really noticed swearing etc in the members bar because of this. its mainly people who are immature and just want to be booted as they find it "fun"

However, if your saying that you may end up swearing on the gameframe because of this then it needs addressing. You need to be calm and just remember in life and ANYTHING changes are not made at the click of a finger. Again i don't think you mean it like the way i read it

As everyone, i_am_god, its intresting to see that you care about the site and want things to change so not only yourself can benefit but others aswell. Its good to see.

in the old days you could carryon in your break in a tournie game, reason why it got put in place was to stop people getting DQ. but this shouldnt have been taken out. there are countdowns like 5,3 1 minute, surely people can miss in that time. If they get DQ then its their fault, no one elses and they cant complain saying why did i get DQ, its because you didnt miss when the tournie countdown came up.

so nick if your listening to this put this back as it was before because you will get a lot more happier site therefore more friendly and less language.

The simplest way to ensure this doesnt spoil your own personal gameplay is to introduce the same format as a normal ranked / friendly game and that a message reads across the bottom allowing youself to continue the break until you miss a shot.
Its not rocket science that this frustrates ALL players and as it is designed for youngsters to enjoy, all it encourages is bad mouthing and swearing as a result.

It completely demoralised myself at one time, as i was looking to push my max up and up, but as usual a undesirable will leave the game and reduce your stats as a result.

This ensures that any possible maximum break can still be achieved exactly as a normal game operates.

i know all that but what if you want the tournie as well

new highest or just a high break and a torney

right i was on for another century in the semi of tourney and my opponent leaves when im off 54

please please get this sorted now cos its beginning to get on my nerves

how many people are complaining about this yet nothing is being done

you should get the choice when ur opponent leaves to continue or not and when u miss the game is over

like in ranked matches it does it
