Cameroon 2-1 Paraguay

Cameroon took the lead with a goal from Alex Song from the edge of the area. Manager Bak2biscuits was then frustrated as his side couldn't perform well enough to increase the lead and his frustration was clear to see when sloppy play from the Cameroon defence allowed Paraguay's Oscar Cardozo to score. With the teams level at 1-1 and full time fast approaching captain Samuel Eto'o scored a close range header to send Cameroon into the Qaurter Finals.

After the match Bak2biscuits had this to say: 'We were quite lucky out there today and I don't think we played well enough. However we have managed to battle through to the next round. The players know they will need to massively improve if we are to progress further in the Tournament.'

2010 FUNKYSNOOKER WORLD CUP - QUARTERFINALS

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Quarter-Finals of the 2010 Funkysnooker World Cup.

The Master of Ceremonies MC Suspiriasson together with his Icelandic assistant Ingrid Gunnarsdottyr is going to do the corny introduction of the quarter-finalists to the crowd, so... without any further ado... Let's get the boys on the baizeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

USA v France
Introducing first of all, the manager representing USA, one of the most solid all-round players in the circuit. A holder of no less than 139 tournament wins, a very smart strategist on any Funkysnooker table available. One of the toughest guys to beat in Arcade, Regular and Original. Miss once and he'll punish you!; miss twice and he'll destroy you!! Some are calling him the ''Pistol from Bristol''.. We just call him.... _destroyer!!!!

And his opponent, perhaps the most naturally gifted player ever to grace the game. The first player ever to record a 147. We've lost track of his maximum breaks since. He could possibly do one in any frame he's involved. A man whose username is a synonym for play perfection and whose achievements have set a standard too high for any future player to surpass. Ladies and gentlemen, hold on to your seats... cos here comes arguably the best Funkysnooker player of all time... Cos here comes the Legend...!! damee!!!

Cameroon v Portugal
And now, a potting machine of exceptional calibre, a real grandmaster of the game. A player who has hit maximum breaks in all game types available. One of the most colourful characters in the circuit, a true gentleman and a great ambassador of snooker in Africa. One of the favourites of the tournament, ready to lead Samuel Eto'o and the rest of his squad to World Cup glory. Ladies and gentlemen, raise the roof, because it's Captain Fantastic, the African Lion, bak2biscuits!!!!

And his opponent, a genius with the cue in his hand. Few players can match his achievements in any table available. His outstanding wins, his superb breaks, his unparalleled tournament performances will be remembered for many years to come. One of the artists of the game, such a pleasure to watch when competing. He's Umgumpwa, He's Peter Ndlovu's nephew, he's George Weah's ping pong ball, he's Cadbury's parrot, he's an ostrich egg, he's her ghost in the fog, he's ''Death from Above'', He's i_am_god!!!!

Argentina v Germany
Please welcome, a player of outrageous natural talent. One of the finest Original players ever to grace the game. The only player with a 147 so far in the tournament in the group stage match against Greece. Qualifying for the Quarter-Finals in sensational style with some exceptional performances in every single match he has played. Bidding strongly to become the first ever player to win the Funkysnooker World Cup title. Don't take your eyes off him for a second... Cos blink and you'll miss him!! It's ''Maradona of the Baize''!!! Virtuoso107!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, all hail the coming of a snooker guru. One of the most experienced players in the game, beating England to qualify for the quarter-finals. You wouldn't bet against him, because he knows the snooker table better than you know the palm of your hand. Can you hear the rumble... It's Mr. Funkysnooker, the Man with the Golden Ratio, the Veteran!!!, dgeneratiooooooo!!!!!

Slovakia v Ivory Coast
On Table No. 4, what a match we have in prospect, as two of the biggest surprises in the tournament face each other for a place in the semi-finals. Representing Slovakia, one of the best Arcade players you can find. A manager who has reached the quarter-finals without losing a frame, shocking the world by eliminating Italy in the group stage and beating arpeggi 2-0 in the Last 16. Here comes the ''Arcade Tornado'', the one and only Nicko, the Surinamese chico!!!

And finally, the pride of Cote d'Ivoire, a humble yet passionate fighter. An unstoppable African force, a player who fears no opponent he encounters. Producing the greatest upsets so far in the tournament. First managing to miraculously tie Brazil on 4 points in the group stage, then beating them in style in the play-off Arcade decider, against a powerhouse of the game type, jaaaames. In Last 16, again Defying all odds, eliminated Chile on the original table even though it was his weakest game type, with a late extra-time winner. He refuses to go down!! Can anyone stop him??? He's Didier Drogba vs. Goliath, he's virt_ -''Die Hard''- _slayer!!!

Quarter-Finals Format:
Each half consists of 2 frames, 4 in total. If tied 2-2, we go to a 1-frame decider / extra-time. So technically it's first to 3 frames.

Players can play any game type solely, or any combination of game types, but since this is an overall tournament, a mixture of all types (e.g. 2 frames Arcade, 2 Regular, 1 Original or 3 Arc, 1 Reg, 1 Orig etc.) would be ideal. Players will have to agree on game types; if this is not possible, then FIFA will assign for them. Good luck to all teams and may the best manager win the most prestigious title in the history of Funkysnooker events!!!

Haha, I enjoyed writing this, GL playerssssss

Argentina 3-1 Germany

A very edgey first 15 minutes saw Germany take the lead through Lukas podolski, with whom it still bewilders the Argentine coach as to why he plays for Germany considering he's Polish!

The next 30 minutes Argnetina pressed and pressed dominating both possesion and the game itself, missing numerous chances before Lionel Messi ran through and delicately chipped over the oncoming goalkeeper to make it 1-1.

The second half kicked off with a frantic barage of attacks from the Germans, only to be fended off the by Argnetine back four. As the 60th minute came about Argnetina regained control of the game, and took the lead with a stunning 54yard strike from Javier Mascherano.

The game was the put rest in the 81st minute when Maxi Rodriguez was brought down in the box and a penalty was given.. which Lionel Messi stepped up to convert, with his strike measuring a whopping 101mph speed!

A great game overall for the Arngetine team and are looking very strong heading into the semi finals!
