Hello everybody

I want to put forward an idea, as we all know we have a want to join a clan thread.

I notice on Pool that the thread over there is actually managed by the moderators and it seems that people reply on there more regularly for the players they wish to sign or have signed etc.

Im more than happy to try and manage that thread on here

Also im thinking it could be good to use the thread when players leave the clan aswell just so the other clan members / captains can see who comes and goes from clans etc.

Any other ideas welcome etc Do you want me to try and manage the thread or is there any Moderators that want to try,l I know this wont make clans amazing straight away i just feel like it may ake players feel more attached to there specific clans if they have gone through this type of process to get to the clans.

( clans can still take any players of there own free will etc )
Im hoping the clan captains could use the thread as a transfer centre.

I still think there should be a limit on players that people can have in a clan. Then it will prob mean there will be more clans and then hopefully have 2 divisions to make it more competitive

There needs to be some sort of clan commision ran by moderators which could watch over all clans and ensure the clans are ran correctly etc

Good idea to make this thread more of a transfer window instead of just a mish mash of people asking to join a clan.
Maybe all that's needed is an up to date list of people that aren't in a clan, but would be interested in joining one.
I think zac was keeping an eye on it for a while (dont know if he still is)
But he kept updating a list of players yet to be signed.
I thought that was pretty helpful.

Deffo agree with you on that one!
I can think of one clan straight away (guess which one :P) that I think is run pretty badly and reckon having mods on board to keep them in line would work wonders!


Having too many rules might make it too confusing and put people off.
But I reckon having a few strict rules would make snooker clans more organised, especially having a limit on the amount of players Lee!

am i the only one that thinks the moderators arent really going to be up for more of a work load?
there isnt exactly many of them and only two or at max 3 per forum.

im all for improving clans and whatnot but introducing rules going to help alot. clans are about having the craic and making new mates.

or at least thats the way i see it.

If the current mods aren't up for it then maybe this site just needs more mods who would be up for the job.

will moderators please give there opinions on the matter.

i think 1st thing should be a basic rules page for clans

a couple of strict rules.

then also a page which is clear, players available , players in / players out of clans so clan captains can keep up with the players.

i think it would be great if players could have a time limit where they canm not rejoin a clan,

4 weeks would be ideal.

This is very basic stuff, nothing complicated and in my opinion theres a few of us on here capable of running the operation.

I agree that pool may look confusing at first site but no one can argue that there leagues etc dont run well, it is miles ahead of snooker where clans are concerned.

The problem is we dont have to rights to run it really, it would need to be instructed by admin or moderators i would of thought

Hey if your reading this nick it would be great to hear your opinions, we all just want the clan system on funkysnooker to work more like pool really

Seems like they are't really interested in out help/advice or just basic input in order for funky snooker to run smooth

If you all remember, I attempted to run a clan league a while ago with the help of Dgen. In that clan league, I attempted to run it with many rules trying to control the restrictions on the number of players in the clan as well as controlling transfers.

There was about 5 games completed out of 30. These games were split over two weeks. The majority of people weren't happy with the restrictions I was attempting to place. Because of the lack of interest, I deleted the threads.

I would be more than happy to put staff support behind this as would a number of other moderators, but until there is a majority support (thats clan members AND clan leaders), there will be very little time donated to this from the staff.
