This will not work in the same way the clan league doesnt work, there is only 25-30 of us on here that are commited to playing games they register for etc, so by limiting clans to 10 players this may help, but ultimately will make people not bother if they are forced to play in another clan rather than where they are where they may be happy with.

The clan league for me on this site is great for me, but for others and im not sure if this has been raised before is far too long to play a game ( a good hour).

This would be my suggestion. -

Clan league

5 Players put forward each week.

2 players to play in an arcade match best of 3,
2 Players to play in a regular match best of 3
1 player to play in an original match best of 3.

Point for each game, no extras for halves or cents....

Lets keep it simple and it may work.

Players have to play a maximum of 3 frames per week, and as a captain you pick who you want to play in each discipline therefore the player will want to play it, you will only pick commited players and the likelyhood is a higher % will get completed.

things like this wont work untill the captains all sit done and agree on how many people ur allowed and thats that if we have to say pick no more than say 16 players for a clan there will ba a lot of people aint gonna be happy being told sorry u aint good enough for this clan but good luck with another

but on the flip side there will be more clans on here
and thats good for the game

I don't think that would be the best way to decide it. I think the opinion of the clan members is just as important as that of the clan captiains.
Maybe a vote would be better?

Its never gonna happen, im not being negative but how do you impose such a thing and follow it through, you cant.

Im in favour of it to an extent but it cant be followed through.

After the firm and F.S.E when a few clans came along, i set down a lot of rules on clans and clan games. They were working fine until some clans came along and just threw the rule book out of the window and decided to do what they want (1 person still around posting on here atm, not mentioning who)

At the end of the day, not every person is going to like every rule (me and lee with a certain rule in the clan league is a prime example). But a few people need to be put in charge of running this and making the rules, whether everyone likes them or not.

got to agree totally on that stuff. seen it suggested a few places before for clan v clan games and think its a great idea. think we did something similar in a clan game month or two back and it worked fairly well.

personally think thats the way forward. the number of players is up for discussion but the general idea is great

at the end of the day any player can say they want to play for this team or that team but its the clan captain who says yes or no

so if the rules are to change its the captains job to apply them the best way they know how and if every captain agrees on it then it will work not should but will

who runs the clan m8 u or ur members ur clan plays for u and the badge u wear if u say play "so and so" they'll play yes??

so its u who runs the clan all im saying and i know most other captains are of the same opinion we cant have teams bigger than say maybe 20 max even 20 is to much sometimes but as a captain u can restrict ur team to say 13 if u wanted u may not get ur matches played due to people not being on at the same time as there opponent thats why some "subs" make up the other numbers

and to make all this happen we need to get every1 working of the same hymn sheet hence why its the clan captains who make that happen they run there clan they have the desicion to make who gets in who get sorry to phrase it this way "canned" but if it makes for more clans and a new forum room then im all for it

but also for me personnally for a clan league to work something has to be put in place to ensure its done correctly leaving it up to say a few people who are only human aint right why not have the mods(not implying mods aint human) run the league they have all the rules at there disposal anyhow they can make sure its done fairly and also there not pressured into making desicions my so called mates on here

i was talking to lee (i_am_god)earlier and we both have clans of around 20 active players i know goodfellas have around 16
would be good to know about there clan numbers though

All I was saying was that there should be a vote so that all clan members can have their say on the amount of players that each clan should be allowed to have.

That is instead of a having a few members (the clan captains or mods etc) 'dictating' what they think is an appropriate number.

Everyone should have a say on the matter on the rules, however the final decision on them should be made by a select few.

On the subject of the clan league, i think dgen is doing a great job, and there seems to be no problem with it at all.

In my opinion, if everyone had their way, they would just all play arcade.

The reason the league is like this is to give everyone a fair shot at winning. Obviously if your playin a superior player its gonna be tough but that's what the game is about.

And i reckon clan's should be about 20 players, seems an ok amount.

think the reason it works so well is that james checked out the players before allowing them to enter
