Actually, I was thinking about this to be honest.

I think a slightly different approach should be done with this.

5 bonus points for fixture completion
5 for fixture win.


I think completion bonuses are a waste of time in all honesty. Causes more arguments than anything else (especially on pool).

Win bonus will always stay though even if a league runner hated it haha

Well, we have had not a single argument about completion bonuses and win bonuses currently don't exist...

what I don't like about win bonuses is that they create an even bigger separation between the top clans and the rest. Not only do they win loads of frames, they even get a bonus for it to move further away at the top.

Some stats on defaults by the way:

Season 5: 20 games out of 120 went to defaults = 17%
T-Hawx and Punishers were involved in 19/20 defaults.

Season 6: 51/189 = 27% (completion bonus was brought in here)
UT were involved in 25/51 defaults lol.

Season 7: 28/135 = 21%
Globe Potters were involved in 14/28 defaults.

Season 8: 9/135 = 7%

nah they haven't as we would need to make sure the clan is unstable before approving the loan, also both captains involved would have to agree

Ive been thinking about this for ages........

what about some sort of handicap for lower teams, ive no idea how that would work, but it just seems like a good way to make it really close.

The only way to do it would be to base it on pre season friendlies but that relies on everyone playing their games to their full potential, and who knows if they dont.

I just think there needs to be a way to stop the top teams from just owning the leagues. I mean, not to the point where its unfair, just a way of spicing it up a bit.

Maybe like forced loans of decent players?
Maybe for half season, or one fixture?

One way would be to scrap pre-put together teams and allow everyone to be 'bid' for or something along those lines. However that wouldn't work here at all.

You can't force players to play for clans they don't want to. Well, you could but they would end up not playing anyway imo.


If your thinking about a handicap or a way of making the league more spicier. Then I would look at the game format and try to change that to produce more 'shock' results.

However, this was what the Cup was introduced to do. We've had..4or5 Cup finals?

From memory the teams to have won the Cup are D&C, GP and FSE. With UT having Runner Up twice (these may be wrong, maybe Seb can get the data for this)

I'd like to know for each season, the cup final result and where each of the two teams finished in the league. With the exception of possibly 1 season has the Cup final been contested between the top two teams that season?

Could be worth an interesting investigation that I think!

I just wish their was a way to spice up the league a bit....coz i, for one, dont really care much for the cup( sorry seb! dam pink!)and just really care about the beauty that is the league

How about.........

Every player who commits themselves to the league goes on a list (with a value) and each captain then builds a team within a specified budget. Should liven it up a bit

Been said before, i love the idea, BUT it would take agggessssss, and how do you really value the players? That alone would lead to arguments, and then youd have to pay people in money and the team wins in money.
