We'll limit that to cups only next season.

Current plate final standings:
Allstarz 16 vs 13 Black Ballers (18 needed to win)
sarahh (1) vs (1) davson09
hutch1971 (2) vs (0) _unforgiven_
Since davson09 won't be playing the remaining games, a 4-1 default result is almost certain.
Instead of doing the defaults- if any member of the defaults team disagrees, please message me and we'll do defaults the regular way.
If not, then we can save our effort and call this a win for Allstarz by 19-13.

Just to bring something back up, I think the golden cue needs a rethink. Looking at the results from this season, joint first both played 18 frames, whereas damien, myself and seb in 3rd, 4th, 5th played over 40... To win the golden cue playing 40 frames, we would have to win 38 of them...Clearly this is unlikely in reality, so I feel the current system penalises those who play every or most fixture(s).

this was discussed and i believe it would be increased to like 22 frames (or something like that) or a percentage depending on the teams who have joined
14:13 Wed 8 Feb 12 (GMT) [Link] Yeah, damee brought this up earlier. The minimum games played is actually proportionally higher than on pool. We said that we would look at the number again when we know how many clans there are (meaning how many frames will be available to play).

Just to go back on this, I totally disagree to a 3 week deadline for league games. It would just drag the league on for longer unnecessarily. 2 weeks is enough.
As for the cup final, I don't think you should give 3 weeks either for that. Yes I know you want to avoid defaults but it still happened with the plate this season (easy enough decision I know but still). The cup final was played within 2 week no problem (I believe)
However, I do think a bit of discretion is required if the cup final/plate final if the games haven't been completed and either clan could still win, and possibly give a couple more days extension.

First there was no deadline and UT left lee in for a month (he was offline the entire time) before subbing budweiser in.
Then, we made it a two week deadline and games weren't completed, causing arguments over whether to grant an extension or not.
So we've made it 3 weeks and no extensions for this season. But that can be changed if people can figure something out.
If we say 2 weeks but extension possible, then what's the point of two weeks in the first place?

-Incomplete games: If one player has been banned, removed from the clan, or left the clan, the game can be abandoned and restarted at 0-0 with a sub. Both captains must agree to this. (page 90)
-Banned players after completing a game: If we have a good indication that a player has been banned for having duplicate accounts, the score will not stand, the clan gets to make a sub to get the game played (both captains have to agree). If it doesn't, defaults will be done as if the player was offline until the time of the sub. (page 85/86) Sounds complicated, but isn't really. Message me if you like

What I was thinking was maybe a multiplier into the stat to calculate positions based on games played out of the total. What I thought was maybe (games played/possible games)^1/2.
To give an example:
Player A plays 40/40 frames and wins 20.
Player B plays 20/40 frames and wins 10.
Player A position stat = 0.5 x 1^1/2 = 0.5
Player B position stat = 0.5 x (1/2)^1/2 = 0.354
If you took this season's stats for the top 5 on my method
osullivan34: 17/18 x (18/40)^1/2 = 0.634
saltneysugar: 17/18 x (18/45)^1/2 = 0.597
damee: 39/45 x 1 = 0.867
adam_147: 35/45 x 1 = 0.778
whocares8x8: 31/40 x 1 = 0.775
This might skew it a bit too far towards players who have played every game but if people like this idea I can give it more thought and come up with a fairer system.

Good point.
Well I still think it should just stick at 2 week like every other round, however just simply extending the cup final deadline to 3 week wouldn't bother me either. Don't fiddle with the league game lengths though, they should stick at 2 week throughout the season.

I know some clans don't pick the same players for every game, even if they're good. Do we punish their members for that?
