Wait, so destiny has perfected a lag break and you lot don't like it? For once i'm with destiny! Pipe down whining and get on with the game, it's the same when the carom break first came about.

Its not that we don't like it its against the rules... just like running with the ball with out bouncing it in basketball is a foul..

Thing is its first to 5, and when your playing someone with a perfect lag shot which you have little chance of beating...a playing of Luke's quality he can break and hit 5+ so frequently it completely ruins the game basically.

Let the break shot be fair then as well, because there's still people who don't know how to do that (someone moaned at me other day for doing it saying it's an unfair advantage, just like the lag is now)

Snooker / Carom..... is all about trying to be the best at the game ! And if that means that destiny found a lag shot thats is 98% of the time consistent and good, then thats just how it is !

People come up with experimental shots to try to become best at the game and if it works for them, then they are always going to keep doing it.

Just as damee said, the break off shot. Thats just as much an advantage because of the consistency rate it gets you a point....

And as I said above, its all about becoming the best, and if the shot is consistently good, they will keep doing it.

So I believe that the lag should be allowed

I think the point is that it's (apparently) against the rules regardless of whether it is an unfair advantage or a clever / experimental shot.

The break off shot however, isn't against the rules.

the lag shot determines who goes first...but when you play someone with a FOUL lag then you start the game from behind.

And might only have 1 shot to claw back on final innings, so with losing that lag, you are near enough losing the game.

Whatever you do on the break shot (Providing you hit the red before the oppisite colour) Its legal.

I can now do the lag shot, but i still want it to be made right.
