Thought Portugal were poor in all honesty, other than 7-0 over N. Korea. But then again, not the most talented Portuguese team to have entered the world cup.

Lot of good team left in there. Obviously the expected final will probaly have Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Netherlands or Germany in it. But i'm still sticking to my guns saying Uraguay could be an outside chance (to at least reach the final). Also Ghana, by far nowhere near the level of Brazil, Argentina etc: but with pretty much a whole continent behind them.

Ultimately i'd say Brazil are looking like having the best chance to go on and win the thing. Very solid team with class players. Argentina need to be properly tested defensively and i think they'll get that from Germany.

Would love to see Argentina win i just for Maradona's reaction, but also i backed them months before the start of the Tournament s i'm not gonna go back on my word.

I backed France - ooooooops and Argentina before tournament start. Even I have to admit however, (cos I hate the guy for his hand of god goal!! - yet respect him for being so amazing!) Maradonna is such a good figure for Argentina. Far from the best manager, but the passion he shows for his country, and the way the side respect him, more than makes up for it.

I would bet that Messi, Tevez, Veron, Higuain and Demicheles don't hammer his door down demanding a change in personel and formation. Oops getting back on to England

I wouldn't back Torres this tournament, he looks so out of sorts. Worrying me, seems to be playing with a niggle. No doubt if he stays (and IMO he will leave on deadline day - another great footballing day to look forward to once this world cup ends!) he will be injured for us again next season.

In all honesty Llorente caused moe problems than Torres did. So listen to Mike, he knows what he' talking about.

But you are meant to keep a world class finisher on the pitch if your looking for a goal, because even if he is having a bad game not playin well he can still pop up with the goods in the last minute..
