He misses the Semi. Yet if they reach the final he can play i think. Considering his hand stopped a goal i think thats such an injustice.

aint that harsh coz it aint that hard to score a peno and i no there was pressure on him but he didnt need to smack it

Well it might not be hard to score a penalty, but they're obviously missable! And when Ghana should already be through but are cheated with a blatant hand ball....that's harsh.

Pressure got to him, his penalty technique has been faultless throughout his career but you have to feel for the lad. Rooney carried the burdon of England and crumbled, Gyan carried the whole of Africa and so very nearly...
Was one of the best players of the tournament and even if Villa and higuain score 10 goals I think Gyan should get player of the tournament, 100% determination, ambition and passion. I just wish he was English, exactly what we could do with!
Was on the edge of my seat and when he hit the bar...was a worse feeling than Klose scoring.
Literally more gutted for Ghana than England hah! Was in a tricky position aswell bcoz if Uraguay won on pens then I'd win £162 but 99.9% of me wanted him to smash that in the top of the net!
One thing that annoys me now is like some of you have mentioned, Suarez gets a game suspension but he will be deemed as a hero in Uraguay for cheating (Would be the same for anyone else tho, example being if A.Cole did it and England progressed we'd be happy) BUT Poor old Gyan will be deemed to be a villain
Also hope that the fans dont like, throw bottles at the coach or even try to kill him! He is a quality player and would net that pen in any other situation, but quarter-finals, 121st minute to make history for Ghana/Africa...the country is waiting, he knows if he scores he will be remembered forever...

Lets be honest. Asamoah Gyan is rubbish. That is before, during and after his penalty miss.

He has had a good career so far! He is only like 24 years old, I know he looks alot older but Im pretty sure he's in his early 20's.
He works so hard and dayumm he never tires!
Plus he has played 2 world cups, reached last 16's and Q-final. 2 african nations, got silver and bronze!
He has the pedigree.
Plus Man Utd tried signing him 2 years ago and he RECJECTED THEM ha! Said he wanted first team football.
From that moment on I just loved the guys attitude. Turned down a big money move to United for guarenteed first team football, now plays in France with Rennes, in premiership terms its like Wigan or Birmingham.
Class player and tbh I would love him at Chels! Suits chelsea too, strong, powerful player. As opposed to arsenal stylee, quick and slick.
Gyan easy worth 10Mill and is 400 imes better than bloody Benayoun! Got i hate that player!
I literally just fell asleep....woke up laptop still on, lost £5 on blackjack lmao and then had to reply to defend Gyan, back to bed now! Its so hot and humid tho! I have no fan either
PLUS - I have that thing where the side of your mouth is sore, and u keep biting it so you cant lay ur head on the pillow coz it hurts, and the other side gravity pulls it down so you have to sleep with your mouth WIDE open! SPIDERS AHHHH

why can't the ref award a goal in that situation, like rugby has a penalty try for a deliberate offence that prevents a try?
